First, I appreciate you trying to blunt the direct approach to me by saying "you people", since I'm really the only one in this thread leading defense of the Florida situation.

The vast, vast majority of Corona survivors do not end up with permanent lung scarring. A shitty couple of weeks? Yep. That's common. But its not worth putting millions of out work to prevent it.

I don't believe this is a Dem hoax. Not at all. I do believe the democrats are using the situation to push an advantage by driving a fear narrative in the hopes that it will affect the economy, and by proxy, Trump. I believe that 100%.

  2. There are many here who claim teh death rate is small enough to not worry about Corona so I do not believe I was singling out anyone.

As for out of work, a short period lockdown follwoed by CDC guidelines would not have led to putting so many people out of work. First of all many were put on unemployument simply to claim benefits as employers did not want to carry salaries for 2 months.

Second avoiding a lockdown just means one gets forced on you piecemeal. If a restaurant has two workers who test positive with corona, they can either lie and keep it a secret or let people know who have eaten there the past 2 weeks that they should get tested because they might have been infected by the non-mask wearing employees serving or cooking food. Then I do not think people will go near that place for some time as the virus spreads.

What I find funny is the constant blame directed at Demorcrats for pushing a narrative but never any blame on the GOP leaders, especially Trump. Everyone on his task force and in his administration related to health and infectious diseases has conveyed the seriousness of this issue (CDC, NIH, Surgeon General, Task Force) but it is the Dems driving the narrative?

Trump has not followed any recommondation from his staff with medical degrees and continues to go agaisnt them. every Governor has to take responsibility for their own state but the buck also stops at the White House and Trump does not get a free pass.

Most countries in the world put in place a lockdown of sorts for 2 months at most. we are going to be entering our 4th month of a convulated disorganized mess where Karens and Kevins throw tantrums at stores about wearing masks claiming their rights (fucktarded argument) and people back in April were saying fuck Corona they are not going to change their VACATION plans.

    Ah yes, that ol' gag.

This was your post on May 26 telling us to come back in two weeks to see that the deaths would increase. They did not.

Here is when WhynotTrade told me the same thing, on June 18. "Wait two weeks". This was about the time you started telling us the numbers were being manipulated on the Florida Dashboard site (despite you using the same source a few days earlier). Then I showed the same deaths on multiple, outside sites.

On June 19th, after asking you again where the deaths were, you said the same thing. Florida is full of old people, just wait.

and now, of course, your latest:

So here we are, July 1st. I've posted the trends from the external site recommended to use by

    upload_2020-7-1_11-20-23.png

This site shows higher forecast for deaths, but they just revised down by 50% from yesterday's numbers, because it is getting better not worse in Florida. They show no trend to indicate anything a problem with hospitalizations. ICU utilization is perfectly fine, and they do not estimate a problem in the next 30 days.

So I'll ask you what I have asked you about four times in this thread, and you've never been willing (or able) to answer: At what point, if deaths don't materialize, will you admit error?

    I'm guessing never.

We did this short period. We "flattened" the curve. Now people want us to lock down again, that's not happening.

I'm on record for positively trashing Trump during the Covid crisis. His speeches, his idiocy, everything. Can you show me folks on the left calling out anyone from the left accordingly?

Again, I have no support for Trump on anything. If you've come looking for an argument on that, it's going to be very one sided. This thread, my commentary and everything I've posted is about how Coronavirus results in Florida are no where near as bad as the media is making them out to be. it started with DeSantis giving a press conference where he positively tore up the media on how they said Florida would be the next Italy. I showed the charts they claimed we would experience and how wrong it all was. That's it.

    End. Of. Story.

Let's take a look at what doctors are saying.....

'There's going to be a lot of death coming'
    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-surge-doctor-deaths-193439614.html

The surge in coronavirus cases across the U.S. is worrying many health officials and state leaders, so much so that many governors are undoing some of their phased re-openings to contain further spread.

“For the winter, there’s concern,” Dr. Jennifer Ellice, an ER physician based out of the Los Angeles area, said on Yahoo Finance’s The First Trade (video above). “But I’m also just concerned for the next couple of weeks because we know that’s our lagging indicator. From what I’m seeing right now, I think that unfortunately there’s going to be a lot of death coming.”

Only two states — Connecticut and Rhode Island — that reported a decline in the number of coronavirus cases last week. And on Friday, the U.S. reported over 40,000 infections, the highest number of new cases in a day.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), spoke of the troubling trend during a Senate committee hearing on Tuesday, stating: “I would not be surprised if we go up to 100,000 [new cases] a day if this does not turn around.”

  6. Are people panicking ?? Is the reason for the low testing #'s because of the shortage of available tests?

Pentagon declares California, Florida, and Michigan no-go areas due to COVID-19 prevalence

With COVID-19 spiking, Pentagon OKs travel to all states save three
    https://www.militarytimes.com/news/...ntagon-okays-travel-to-all-states-save-three/

California, Florida and Michigan are the only states to which service members aren’t allowed to travel for permanent change-of-station moves, temporary duty and other non-essential purposes, per a Monday release from the Pentagon, as Minnesota and North Carolina are now green.

Really. I suppose the massive base here in Tampa needs to evacuate now. I'll pass your alert on to the authorities. Thank you for your informative report, citizen.
