Not necessarily, like everything in trading it depends on all the variables, the stock/time/price, etc..... but in general VWAP serves as an awesome pivot point for one because it is used by so many traders/algorithms, but for another reason because it represents the average price people are long/short at so when VWAP is holding on either side, you can add, but often times it just blows through it and then you know most traders are now under water on that stock for the day so you know moves are going to be more exaggerated. I could create an entire thread on VWAP, but im too lazy, but bottom line is most traders have it on their screen, it is literally the most important variable after volume/price, and the only thing i pay attention too besides volume and price, but for some reason IB hasnt been able to figure it out for a decade.

Like i said earlier, there is no point, i have talked to IB's customer support people endlessly, and after a decade of trying to fix two simple egregious errors in their software, nothing changed. They give you lip service say they will look into it, and then nothing changes, thats why im wondering if anyone at that place has ever even traded, cause these flaws are so obvious to legitimate traders every time we are forced back there.

Dont get me wrong, IB has always been a stand up firm when it comes to ease of adding and removing capital, but thats about all they are good for, basically the only thing i think they are good at should be common knowledge, "Return my money on time" but after close to a dozen tries i have realized IB is actually miles ahead of other brokers in this department.

    MAGNIFICENT LETTER, MAX.

    Along those lines, ....
Every day, I open BookTrader/Settings, click twice on the empty Display Deep Book Buttons box (to indicate yes, and then to de-indicate), and then hit Apply.
In a place where screen real estate is at a premium, WHY IS THAT STUPID BUTTON THERE?

I have a name for this little maneuver: The IB Daily Insult -- it's like IB's reminder of what it thinks of their customer's time: "couldn't care less."

(And yes, I have half-a-dozen more, much like those covered in

    and especially

    You know what'd be sweet?
    A User's Council.
    THREE of 'em!
One for straight U accounts, one for small FAs, one for institutions -- each of whose focus would bring up emphases on different parts of the whole TWS/Acct.Mgt architecture. I think it's plain that the historical/current feedback vehicle is (to be VERY polite) wanting.

LOL, only a real trader who has witnessed this shit truly understands. It probably all sounds so juvenile to them, but its a big deal when you try using the software for a day and everything you try to do gets second guessed, or fucked over in some way.

I feel your pain brother, the struggle is real, i totally know what you are saying here, nice to see other people notice these things as well so im not just an OCD a-hole!! :D

    Hey now!*
    1) Those are there for very good reason.
    2) I don't know of any that cannot be {successfully} removed via a check-box, or in your Global Config.

    * Not really, but hell maybe just, any sort of Dr. John reference.
