Why are there few or (zero?) stories about WHY the non-vaxed are refusing the jab?

I'm the son of a banker and am easily offended by questions about money or property unless its close friends.

The richest guy I know drives an F-150 and lives in a little bungalow on a golf course without a slip or ocean access. I surf with him and he doesn't ask me about my situation and I don't ask him about his. We talk about commercial properties some and thats about it. I once asked why he doesn't shack up on the waterfront in Palm Beach and he just shrugged and said he was happy.

I get some snobbery about my boat which is old and not very big. That tends to stop if they are making the same transits as I am and they realize I'm arrive two days before them when we have departed at the same time. The rich guys covet boat length, I covet speed. If its big enough for a couple of guests to berth and have hot showers and air conditioning I figure that is enough boat.

Don't measure a man by his wallet.

    Turv got banned?!
    Why?
He must have got pissed, had a fit, and told Baron to ban him. I find it hard to believe it was because of anything he wrote about Covid. Right or wrong.

  4. I mean yeah someone who is wealthy might have some fancy toys and someone who is wealthy might have some non fancy toys because it is just what makes them happy. But like your friend with the F-150, it is always funny how some really wealthy people simple love the things they wanted when they were poorer rather than the things they can easily afford now.

My biggest splurge is always trips and concerts/sporting events because I enjoy memories over material things. One older family member who has money was so proud of his $80,000 watch.....wtf... I use my cell phone to tell time and would much rather spend that on numerous vacations/trips. To each his own I guess...but i will never understand how a watch brings a wealthy person pleasure at THAT level.

My best/biggest splurge is season tickets to my local NBA team a few rows behind the bench. I will take repeated nights a season of endless eating in the club and a game over a watch but it is hard to understand everyone's motivation at times except those who brag.

    Fun! Yeah that is cool.

My family used to have a box behind home plate at Dodger Stadium and I lived in the same building as Fernando Valenzuela. Dodger dogs baby!

    The watch thing is ridiculous.

My dad recently gave me his Piaget which has sat ever since in the safe while I wear a Citizen lol.

Doctor Strange movie in which I never knew this thing existed until I saw it in the movie...

Took me a while to locate the above that was used in the movie...

Big Boys with Big Toys...the Trojan Horse Clock that stores watches secretly is crazy.

  8. I did not get to see the watch but the wife did and I want to say it was Movado i think but $80,000???
I thought it was bullshit but she at the time showed me online (I wish I could remember it now as it was 3 years ago).

Trust me.... it looked like some normal watch...I actually lost respect for him (in law uncle) knowing that he was excited to go spend $80,000 on a watch...

I am still like almost upset thinking about it because you could drop $100,000,000 in my lap and I would never ever reward a watchmaker for such an insulting price by paying it..

I have one watch given to me as a gift, probably was a $300 which still feels overpriced and I save it but so used to looking at my phone for the time I dont wear it.. I own more MIckey Mouse watches I keep in their original cases as prized possessions and those things cost under $100 haha
