IMO: The issue is whether you are more likely to need hospital resources if/when infected. That's the real problem. The vax decreases the number of people needing hospital resources; and for that reason alone, the vax is a great thing. It frees up the hospitals for patients with ailments that they couldn't have prevented by taking a simple vax. People have died due to hospitals being full of unvaxxed covid patients. If multiple infections all lead to symptoms like a cold or light flu, the fact you had multiple infections is about as relevant and meaningful as saying that I had multiple colds this year. Same logic applies to focusing on immunity, and 'which variant.' It's not about the number of infections. It's not about immunity. It's not about which variant. It's about hospital capacity. This needs to be understood, if not for COVID, but for the next pandemic. The CDC, media, pros, etc. have done a horrible job making this clear to the public.
People should notice that as hospital capacity levels are near / breached... Governments (federal and state) start talking about increasing vaccinations, restrictions and finally mandates. You know when too many Covidiots are putting their community and healthcare system in danger...it is when curfews are being used to manage the chaos by the bad actors. On the flip side, as soon as Covid numbers begin to consistently decline (hospitals mean reverting back to a safe healthcare level)...governments start talking about removing/easing mandates/restrictions plus we don't see a lot of talks about getting vaccinated... Instead, it's more talk about learning to live with Covid. People begin to crowd the gyms, crowd the bars, more crowded parties et cetera. Next, more fines, more business closures, and more warnings because we have too many idiots not following public health guidelines because it impacts their freedom. In reality, those bitching about their freedom in a Pandemic do not give a fuck about the safety and health of those in their community. Boom...another Variant of Concern shows up and the whole process repeats again. wrbtrader
Dude, shut up. You dont know statistics. You have no medical background. You have spent two years posting shit that gets proven wrong two days after you post it. We have had enough. You have no idea what you are talking. Shut your mouth.
Well then provide studies and information from mainstream respected sources that refute anything I stated. Here is the sad truth with Omicron. The unvaccinated are over 5 times more likely to be infected, more that 17 times as likely to be hospitalized, and over 98 times as likely to die than the vaccinated. This is on top of the unvaccinated being much more likely to have Long Covid and twice as likely to be re-infected. It’s is sad that you and others cannot comprehend the basic proven facts — and continue to spread misinformation and bullshiat.
Covidiots are afraid of peer-reviewed data that compare vaccinated versus those not vaccinated. The clever ones will try to zone in on one single city as if they found an "Ah-ha moment" that discredits any peer-review data. This is the reason why I will then post real-world data (not personal experiences that can not be verified) that correlate with the peer-review data... As in the recent Ottawa discussion that @Van_der_Voort_4 attempted to show more vaccinated people are being hospitalized with Covid than those not vaccinated. Hold on their cowboy...someone like me that loves statistics, has a degree in Immunology and has access to data from some public health agencies here in Canada and the United States that most do not have access to... There's a much bigger picture than the raw numbers of the number of vaccinated versus not vaccinated. All explained with data of Ottawa Hospitals @ https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/cmon-canada.359791/page-18#post-5537634 By the way, anyone can review my post history to see that I've posted similar like real-world data for many other cities, states, provinces and countries. The data is very similar as the data from Ottawa, Canada after comparing vaccinated versus not vaccinated hospitalization. wrbtrader
