took me 14 years ...a little ashamed....when i started reading brooks in 2007 i never expected this time delay......underestimated the competitiveness of day trading
i searched hershey.......his method is more suited to stocks while brooks is suited to single instruments like E mini ....or audusd which i trade
scaling in: it is the most dangerous way to trade if you are not near perfect in your read of market.....brooks is more than perfect.......he talks of so many things......but i have now understood when to scale in......only do it when market is ranging :buy below bars/sell above bars........as opposed to buy above bars /sell below bars......if you understand this......you are going to make a lot of winning trades. this is one thing that has made me profitable i am basically trading breakouts.....either i go in direction of breakout or ,if the market has been a range day,i fade breakouts.
Brooks IS NOT Hershey. There may be a few overlaps, but in concept only, not necessarily name. Hershey is ROOTED in volume. Hershey methods began in equities, and are very much suited to futures. In fact, many threads in their entirety are devoted to the Hershey methods for trading futures under the moniker of SCT, Seamless Continuous Trading, using 5 minute bars with ES. If you have no interest in using volume, Hershey is not for you. padutrader has no idea what he is posting regarding Hershey.
while is a huge benefit to traders to have access to Brooks mind ,i have to admitit is SO easy to get lost in Brooks vast knowledge...... i finally discovered what was important and basic to his method after persisting with him for 14 years...............and i am thankful for this lucky find. persistance is the key to success in anything for most people except for the lucky few Brooks easily takes the prize of being the most disorganised teacher of all time
