Can't agree more with QuasWexExort: the chance you make to be a consistent day trader is low ( about 5 out of 100). If you wanna Day Trading for living but have no stable income, the situation would be horrible. It would takes years practice before you can survive in the market. Learn how to survive first, rather than make money at the first place. Good luck!
Velez is a VENDOR. He'd talk about needlepoint patterns for 3 hours if enough people paid him 400 Euros. He couldn't tell you much about trading for a living from personal experience. He's been making millions upon millions off of wannabes FOR DECADES running his schtick. That's called zero risk gains, the best kind. Same racket Ross Cameron and Tim Sykes are in. They make diddly demo trading in comparison to the huge cash flows they make jibber jabbering ad nauseum about "how to make it as a day trader". You didn't have to quit your day job. There are fantastic trending futures markets around the world where one is bound to be open during its regular trading hours when you're either finished work for the day or just before. You can build small fortunes off of trading the HSI, HHI, DAX, NQ, YM and RTY futures, depending upon where you live. But it's too late now. You went and cut the cord to "the real world", got the wide-eyes and heavy beating heart and, oh my, it's showtime!

so op 1.) do you work for someone now? if so it's about impossible for a non self employed person to trade. 2.) if you are a profitable trader now and know without doubt that you can make money trading. then duh like what is going to change "law of motion theory" study it.

It does not matter if price move fast or slow. All you need to do is create a system that works for YOU. BackTesting helps but I suggest live market is better. Seat time helps alot. Personally, I do not think you are that serious yet. It's not a competition to defeat HFT, HFT is going to "hft". All you need to do is focus on your psychological development, your spatial intellect on charts among other things. Again, you are not serious!
