Oh yeah, the FIRE crowd as well. They're the passive Gen X'ers while most of the "unlimited money selling credit spreads, naked puts and wheel trades" are millennials. Both assume the market only goes up and when it goes down, it will bounce back pronto.
Well, we had a very slight pullback, zero risk, that bottomed out on March 23rd, 2020. We had a few tick pull back in September. Also zero risk. You are right, there is zero risk in the market, with no corrections since 2008, which really wasn't that bad if you were long. I guess, yeah, we've had no major pullbacks since 1929. I see the point! Max leverage on longs forever!
Not sure if you're being facetious, but the March pullback was over 30% which was quite painful, especially for anyone leveraged. Sure, we went back to ATH's ridiculously fast, but at the time no one knew if the world was going to shut down. Since that time, I agree...just load up the S&P 500 or your favorite growth stock pulls back to it's 50-day MA...and you're golden within a week or two.

Ahh yes, I remember that time. He told me I would be better off killing myself since I had gotten the vaccine, because I would be dead in 6 months because I took it. Thus, I was wasting space and resources on the planet or some dipshit bit like that.
I wasn't being facetious... I was posting words totally soaked in sarcasm. There is ALWAYS risk in the stock market. I am tired of these freaks who keep pushing the idea that it is not so. If there was truly zero risk in the market, the VIX would be at zero.
One correction in two years is pretty normal, especially when the correction was a black swan crash. We may get a correction sometime in 2022 ( with two rate hikes expected ). However, if markets continue up anticipating that correction could be a money losing trade. Was there a correction in 1998 or 1999 ? I've often asked what the correct trade to take was early 1999. Most traders on here consistently give the wrong answer.
