Strength Training for the Warfighter?

  1. Lighten up Alice.:D I'm not arguing your less is more position. You have a convert in me. I'm in the gym half as much and getting stronger, have better muscle tone, gained 10 pounds without adding anything to my waistline. You da man. What I am trying to point out is that while at least average strength is required for this "warrior" building, endurance and agility are considerably more important. You can't get that with weight lifting alone, and building mental toughness...that's another game in and of itself.

  2. Consider me lightened. :D

I agree with you. The thing is, though, that these warriors can only do the kind of endurance training that you described for so long before they run the risk of getting into trouble, as discussed in this earlier thread:

Being only a "weekend warrior," myself, I'm in this for the long haul.

P.S. I'm glad to hear that you've had such good results.
