It's a fact of life, many ET posters want a profitable trading system, but they don't want to do the work, what they really want is handouts. These guys want to cruise to riches, doesn't work that way. They may want to pay for a system, like buying groceries, buying a system, but that won't work either. I'm on OP's side, he's done the work, I don't lend much weight to the criticism of freeloaders.
The OP *NEEDS* to do nothing. AFAIK, he has offered Skype as a means to answer specific questions. In addition, he has made it clear he is NOT looking for clients/customers. If VST is promoting his Skype, Zoom, etc sessions to bait and switch then yes, he would be a scammer in MY book. Nothing has been posted to indicate that is the case. Noone suggested "age" gets a free pass, nor does it provide any type of trading longevity. The fact is, VST is an ET old timer, and he is still posting ON TOPIC! (re: trading). This thread started in 2006 fwiw. Now, my break is over.... back to trading! NEXT!
I have also spoken with VST a while back and watched him run his algo. He is a nice enough guy, and appears to be helpful since he doesn't mind spending hours with you to show off his algo, but I was left with many questions. It appears the way that he actually trades, as per his claim, have nothing to do with what this algo does. Huge red flag. If this algo produces >95% winners, as per these "forward testing" stats, why on earth us anything else? Second, he made extensive mention of all the Silicon Valley friends he has. This is a huge tactic scammers use in order to build rapport. Third, he slid in how he had to go soon because he was going to pick up a cheque from some of his clients. In order words, he is doing a very "soft" sell. He doesn't tell you that you need to buy it, but he sure makes it sound like it would be the easiest way to make money. I wish I was wrong, but the only conclusion that I can arrive at is that he is a very slick salesman. I hardly wanted to out him based on my experience, but seeing the poster above who came forward as having been officially scammed, I feel the time is right for me to also share my experience. Guys, why will someone spend hours with you over the internet with nothing to gain? Of course they are hoping to close a sale.

I am not inviting a trader to no Skype or Zoom, if I am not trading real money to teach him/her how to make money to pay his/her bills. People on ET really be on serious bullshit. Stop with the bullshit. Show people how to make real live money, or leave people alone. That shit is getting really annoying. I would not dare open my mouth to help someone trade if I know damn well I am not trading real money myself. That is disrespectful to me. chill with the bullshit Now you have some trading ideas you want to discuss with another trader, that is fun for talking about trading ideas and methods. But saying I make money come and follow me, is bullshit, when I know I am not winning. That is misleading.
All he is doing is rescuing your funds by putting them in his bank account! Seriously, who believes these results his algos even get? 99% win rates? Jesus, are people really that dumb? Any time he is asked about running it live, there is no reply to this. If anyone trades for real, you know how hard it is to sometimes be filled when you really want to get out. This is live trading. But his algo and his "fantasy" fills rely on getting out where nobody else could.
Oh, and further to my post above, let me tell you exactly another tactic that he uses. He teaches you his method of trading by using a 7 range bar and essentially buying or selling based on drawing support or resistance after 2 red or green bars. (I forget the exact details) Then he also has a long drawn out method for trading "range condition". Obviously, you will see how often something like this fails when you actually try and use it. So here you are "learning" a trading method, but you see it fails often, so then he shows you his algo, which never fails. So you think fuck, why would I trade manually when I can just get this algo which never fails. Its kind of like a bait and switch tactic. (the algo doesn't trade this manual method.... its totally different) Props to him for having such a well thought out scam. Harvey Weinstein should have taken notes! LOL... Its such a great seduction method really. You almost have the trader begging to lease the algo, and hence why he can say he doesn't sell anything. Heck, maybe he even considers a lease not a sale, and hence this is yet another great loophole.
