Nice work, that's awesome. I'm resting up for next week. I know I'm going to get punched in the face but I also no I'm about to take some sizable dough out of the market.
Uh huh, I see how it goes. You call both of us out. I post the real, and bobby posts a line of "I am up .66%" blah. And you take it at face value. No trade logs, no summaries, no nothing. You asked, and I gave to you, and was ready to give you more. Hey, look man, I know it is your journal, but damn dude...lol! It is not going well! Remember this from like a few hours ago? Jeez. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/road-to-120-2019-if-anyone-even-cares.329416/#post-4800040 At least I know I am not unreal. Good to know these days.
I agree, I see what you are saying. Well I will post proof, I hope whoever participates posts proof as well.
You are kinda' not following here. You asked Bobby and I to post proof. I posted proof, and can seal the deal with a statement. Bobby is nowhere to be found now. Do you understand? Ahh, I get it, you are "otherwise occupied in your mind". No worries. I think I know how that goes.
Palindrome, I'm not sure if you're aware of the history here, but I figure its pertinent to explain why this beef is happening. You see, Sweet Bobby came to the forum and started out as a real, genuine guy. He was hard working, methodical, and I think everyone was rooting for him. He was following the method of Karen over at TastyTrade, although he says he improved on it. Essentially, all she seems to do is collect premium selling options. But then lots of people started pointing out that Karen was a fraud, showed countless links to prove how she defrauded investors, had her trading licenses removed, etc., and all of this fell on deaf ears. Karen was still a god to him. Over at his journal, lots of smart traders were trying to warn him about the risks of simply selling premium, but he wouldn't listen. Somewhere along the way, he started to feel as if these guys were against him perhaps, and all these well intentioned people ended up being called trolls. So then all this volatility shows up and somehow Sweet Bobby is magically killing it. Out of nowhere he mentions that he was long some puts. Excuse me? Long puts? He was supposedly the seller of options and defending Karen to the grave, and yet somehow, he has now completely flipped 180. Now if in fact his results were real, then this is fine, but this means that the strategy he is using is nothing like what he claims to have been doing. And worse, he still won't answer a single question about Karen and acts as if he is completely oblivious to the fraud that was caused. Anyway, so my entire point with all of this is that perhaps the forum needs a bit more proof in this case than just simply taking him at his word. He has destroyed any credibility he had, and his persistent sidestepping of major issues affecting his holy master makes you wonder what is really going on in his head. Perhaps his results are real, but it has nothing to do with collecting premium. The trouble is that once you start leaving out major details about what you're actually doing and pretending you don't see facts that are clearly presented, how can anything he says have any value?
I trade because of Karen. She is solely responsible for getting me into the business. I tested her strategy for years and I was never comfortable with the risk. I searched for answers as I really wanted to be successful in options trading. I’m the end, I was able to combine the best of what Karen was doing while hedging my risk. This allowed me to sell premium, but doing it in a much safer fashion. My original Karen/Tastytrade thread became an attack piece by everyone telling me how I was going to blow up my account. These attacks were from people who had zero idea about what I was doing! As for me defending Karen, I do so only because I appreciate the fact that she got me engaged in selling premium. I don’t have any idea whether her collection of fees was fraudulent. She may very well be the anti Christ for all I know. But I am where I am because of her videos. It led me to countless hours of research and discovery. My strategy is not a holy grail. I can lose money on any particular trade. But in the long run,I am consistently profitable by combining Karen’s strategy with some very simple downside protection. I am NOT trading Karen’s strategy. It has become my own. I don’t understand the hateful comments that others toss my way because I won’t join in the condemnation of Karen. I don’t have a dog in that fight. I’m still a hard working guy trying to figure out how to be a better trader and I wish you and all the others the best. But I do hope others will stop the “tour account is going to blow up” rhetoric because it’s nit going to happen. In fact, I want a crash to happen because then my returns will be meteoric! I was very open about my strategy from the very beginning, but after constant attacks on here I became more closed off regarding the details. I’m not trying to hide anything, but I’m certainly not comfortable with sharing details of my successful strategy with people whose only motive is to bash me and wish me harm. Perhaps I will share more if the discussions return to some level of civility. Peace!
Your only realistic goal should be: always follow the rules of your system. Regarding performance: all depends on the market behavior. You can set as much goals as you wish, but if the market does not move you will go nowhere. In some markets 120% a year is huge; in other markets 120% can be mediocre. Return has only relevance if it is analyzed in relation to what the market offered.
