Prediction Based Trading

Discussion in 'Journals' started by stockpredictor, Oct 10, 2020.

  1. It was working for me just yesterday. It always comes back.

Yeah I used to post a lot of calls on reddit (thewallstreet subreddit) but I got booted for controversial talk. I was there for several years so any of the regulars know me; anyone can ask about me publicly on there.

I'll check that site out, thank you.

So you trade breakouts and you want to see the long term charts confirm the short term moves. Thank you, John Murphy.

  4. Nice try. The levels work for swings, breakouts, range trading, etc. This is because markets repeat the same patterns. They can be used for anything. I can trade countertrend, trend, and so on, intraday or otherwise. I can call crashes.

This is the results on the chart. Even if I lost every single trade, the Russell crash that I called (I specifically said it would be a large move, see other post) would more than make up for everything.

sorry but those posted pics are not trades, they are lines and arrows after the fact - there is no trade execution, tgts & stops. Any one can come after the event and put in lines - how do think Fibonacci - a dead mathematician who never spoke English much less traded - became so popular?

    Some great stuff there

If your calls are any good, in these 10 months you must have made a few mill

For some years I've been working on a method to predict price with time. I've had some massive failures and massive successes which convinced me that it can be done, the only block right now is my consistency. I've not looked at intraday, only swing.

I've also seen a few guys make public calls of price with time, which turned out to be very accurate, their only motive seems to be to humiliate their detractors publicly. :p

There are a few people who are already doing this commercially. Don't sell yourself short.....if the calls are good you could be sitting on a gold mine. Why even work for a fund?

Do the initials EP mean anything, or are you his student?

These photos prove what exactly? Doesn’t say if you’re long or short , does not show your PnL, does not show where or if you even closed the position. Does not state your risk to net liquidity.

  8. I did not put levels in after the fact- check my first thread ever on here. I predicted all of that 1 week in advance. I also stated that I scale out with a half position and leave runners, or close the whole thing for a loss if it goes against me. Confluence also determines hold vs close.

Thank you. I do not know anything about this EP. But yeah, those 10 months (sporadically posted) are truly magnificent. There is also a discord for that site which I am a part of, and I'm trying to see when the site will be back up.

I said intraday, meaning close the same day. I showed the criteria in my first post, this is just the results on the chart. You are right, it doesn't show risk and targets and so on. My goal is not to show I'm personally great or not. It is all about the predictions. Even when I made another post specifically saying that the Russell move down would be a big one and it would reverse at 1616.60, people were saying it might have been a fluke, I got lucky because of Trump's tweet, it was just at a swing high, etc etc. There will always be people to discredit everything.

  9. I've shorted XLU at 63.64. Stop is at 63.92. Target is 62.67. This will probably turn out to be a swing trade.

Just another social-media-demo-trading-millionaire. Even some of the better scammers post entry, exit, profit. It's the bottom line, rest is just opinions and talk.
