Hmm, that also has the added benefit of A. Getting a full enema cleaning out the gunk... B. Water pressure should be strong enough to just blow off any polyps on the walls of the lower colon, thus reducing risk of colon cancer. (Unfortunately, they would shoot out of your mouth, and who wants to spit up polyps? Blah.) Other than that, I like it!
As far as I can tell, it hates me because I've learned more about options in the last three years than it has in its entire life - and I dare to say things about what I know without seeking its approval. [shrug] I don't get that kind of jealousy, but I do recognize it. Incompetents always feel like anyone even slightly better than them is "showing them up", and... oh, the flailing of the wounded vanity is quite something to see. I don't boast much about being smart - that's mostly a matter of genetics - but I am a good student. This has long served me as an excellent diagnostic: good, decent people with integrity always cheer others on even if they can't participate themselves (and that's the set of people that I want for my friends.) Those who are consumed by hatred and fear of being shown up... yeah, that's mud I try to keep off my shoes. Or, in the case of those who open their traps to spout that hatred, use as cannon fodder for my sense of humor (which is usually quite kind... but not when I let it off the leash. <shrug> We all have our little faults.) Just one of life's little secrets that makes it much more pleasant. P.S. On that topic: I'll never forget a certain professional trader here who complimented me on my "2nd floor" abilities, at a time when I was feeling quite uncertain that I was up to the job at all. Thank you for that kindness. I owe you a beer or ten if we ever meet up.
Have you counted the personal derogatory terms and attacks he used vs the ones I used? Probably comes down to 100:1. You are aiming your question at the wrong person. I do not like arrogant individuals, regardless of whether they are well versed in the subject matter or not. Not even top junior guys at institutional trading desks in their 2nd or 3rd year piss on others like he does, even less so when they know nothing whatsoever about the person. It does not matter what a quick learner he might be, someone who was a bloody beginner and knew nothing 3 years ago cannot soak up as much material as someone who sat day in day out at a trading desk inside banks and hedge funds and managed risk for 15 years. Nobody survives 15 years unless he/she makes sufficient dough for the desk, so there is no point proving anything. I speak 3 foreign languages and a non-English native language, if he thinks that his usage of gossip lingo makes him somewhat morally or subject matter superior then that makes him the cunt. Now we have it at 100:2 ;-)
