Covel is a slimey snake oil vendor for sure. He co opted the 'Turtle brand' for his own marketing to the point some even confuse him as being a former Turtle. However I don't think Faith ever 'ended up' with Covel 'picking his bones'? Unless you know otherwise: was there a lawsuit between the two of them?
