Weighed in last thursday June 21st: 222.4lbs. Small loss this week but lot more eating out than normal and good soccer but no lifting. Next weigh in this Friday June 29th and looking to crack 220lbs...
Have to pick the filet mignon (which at restaurants is usually 6 to 8 oz) and vegetables and no apps or desserts. We have been eating out a lot lately and really have to pick well on the menu.... tough in general but easier now 5 -6 weeks into it wher my tastes have changed. Today I had meetings from 10 - 12, skipped breakfast (not smart but was busy) and did not eat until 2pm so forced into a fast. However after initial morning I was not really hungry or weak. A little fast now and again never hurt...

June 29th Weigh In 220.4 lbs. Total Weight Loss = 23.4 lbs. Start travel overseas on July 5th and target was 2015. Doubt I make that number but will be close enough to continue while out of the country. Given how easy it is now after adapting, I will be shooting for solid 210lbs. sometime early August. Weight loss has averaged 2-3 lbs. a week so it is doable. Will be working out as much as I can to stay active. Energy levels are really good. Did a few cardio machines (eliptical and treadmill) other day at hotel gym and just felt like I had a lot of wind. Have not had time for lifting past 2 weeks, just did bodyweight and dumbbell work when I could . Looking forward to buying new clothes next week as I now hit baggy phase with what I have and am a size down. UA Compression shirts..love them now .
Once you hit the target, are you going to continue the keto diet? Keeping it off sometimes harder than losing it....
Yes I will keep it mostly. I don't see the point in hitting the target and then getting back on sugars and gluten. The keto diet not only is helping me lose weight but I also feel the difference not being loaded with sugars and non-good carbs. Cheats may be more frequent but overall will work to maintain a 3-5lb. range around a central weight. Right now 215 was initial target but thinking I can shoot for 210-215 range and stay there (i.e. when eating gets bad and I start touching 215, get back strict). Of course I doubt I will be in full ketosis but the removal of sugars and gluten has its own weight loss benefit alone. This has proven for me that Keto works well for me and I like it. Asf or "treats" I have found plenty of Keto based snacks that fill my cravings at times but do not involve wolfing down brownies or pizza. My tastes have adapted where I see cookies and cake and have no taste reaction. I will start looking into Keto baking for some treats.
