I'm not sure he said he thinks it's not possible at all, although maybe that's his view? Like I said, it's of no consequence to me, but it's interesting nonetheless. Personally, I think it's possible, but it's no doubt for the few and takes a ton of time, effort and experience to get there. Until I've amassed a small fortune from the markets, I'm not making any claims on my own end. Anyway, I think you're wasting your time here. If you have a good methodology like you said, just focus on that + improving it + trading it and making more money. The best way to win is by your own success. Spending time on debates online is a wasted Saturday.
And for g*d's sake, please. Nonetheless is one word. I don't like to be in the role of the grammar Nazi.
You said you never met a D1 index trader in futures that was profitable. Then you post some guy saying "70% D1" that is in your trading room/group. It looks like he is doing options, arb and etc. So, obviously you're going to come back and say "thats the point". That's also my point though. It still means you aren't fully aware of what can be done via day trading equity futures directly. Therefore that's where the misinformation comes from. Yes, there's a lot of advantages I lose particularly time. But there's also a lot of flexibility in what I am doing.
That's my account. My IBKR account number at the bottom. Different ET nick but it's me. >70% of that PNL fig was the result of PNL from shares, not vol. If you write day-trading or "none the less" one more time... I am going to punch you through the screen.
Trading shares or ETFs is inherently more efficient than futures in terms of edge. 1) less crowded trade. 2) generally more RV. 3) smaller vig and comms (perhaps free). 4) color in terms of deep knowledge in the space. 5) triggers off index. Negs? Tax disadvantaged in SN. Wash sales. 15% of the leverage of futures. None of this impacts you other than you're forced into trading futures or CFD shit because you cannot trade them (shares) intraday due to PDT. It matters because you have to earn nearly $5 per micro to earn the vig and comms. I would lay odds on your success but you've got nothing to bet with so it's pointless. It's not wishing you harm; it's the nature of the game.
Understand completely. I am aware of everything you said there. Yes, I get it you don't believe me. We've already established that. When I back tested I purposely gave myself the highest possible price and worst possibly entry during that time. So, now when I forward test it's actually way better. I have a tool to assist with entry so it immediately enters me upon perimeters set. I often get the middle of range instead of high and a fair amount of the time I am getting near the low end of the range I am looking to trade. Point is I wouldn't be doing this if things such a slippage and commissions we're going to be the determining factor of my success or not. That's a way to narrow margin. The overall edge that is strong enough to overcome that. Yes, I get it you don't believe it and that's fair.
Dude, so far you’ve posted zero actual content. No bio, no serious methodology, no market insights beyond vague blather about levels and “letting winners run”, no live calls or even a run/PnL statement. Quite aside from the fact that your stated trading approach is the caricature of an utterly naive piker newb’s approach to markets, to such an exaggerated extent that you may simply be trolling - you are definitely on the wrong track with a journal filled with 11 pages of drama and lashing out against your perceived enemies, and zero posts with anything resembling a trading system, trading results, market analysis, or attempts to constructively improve your trading knowledge.

Can anyone help me by letting me know some successful and proven trading methods you might know of and possibly use? I would be so grateful."
