Micro commissions are generally expensive compared to e-minis. I have the lifetime license, so my RT cost is $2.04 for one e-mini and $0.56 for 1 micro. In comparison using 10 micros the RT cost is $5.60 for the equivalent of one e-mini. I don't know how other retail brokers compare, but I was under the impression that Ninja's rates are fairly competitive.
I already made a thread about it here. Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities? | Elite Trader Seems like many consider what I look for a premium feature typically not offered by discount brokers. I would just like to have all my net performance data summarized or accessible eletronically without having to load up a PDF. Even just a basic equity curve and % net change would satisfy me. As far as I can tell, Ninjatrader's "Performance Report" won't deliver that. Ninjatrader Brokerage even told me flat out that it's not supposed to be used for actual P&L / accounting. In my experience, it's accurate 99% of the time for GROSS data and maybe accurate enough for NET data, too, if you don't need full accuracy (like I do). What I currently do is to track this manually in Excel from their PDFs and that's a drag...
Made my first cash transfer and the ACH came from NINJA. Makes me a bit more comfortable knowing that bit of information. Was worried that Tradovate FCM would not be as adequately capitalized but I think I can put that worry to bed now.
Futures brokers are the safest brokerages out there. When was the last time you heard of one screwing over their clients? Hell, even IB made good during the CL negative settlement fiasco of April 2020 and paid back traders because of THEIR screw up in not being able to handle negative price settlement. What more can you want?
