Today I listen to Ted Cruz use the phrase that "some poll" has 30% of America thinks there was fraud and then he quickly changed in the same sentence to 1/2 of America. He did it several times to show that they're creating in their own twisted mind some illusion about fraud. The next time the protestors (Trump followers) storm Capital Hill...Congress should send Cruz and Hawley out there to calm the protestors down and then lock the door behind them after the leave so that they can not return... These two have been entertaining Trump for their own political ambitions only in 2024. I hope the American people do not forget these two traitors to Democracy and defeat then in any future elections they may have. Leave them out their with the problem they help create for a Tyrant and Bully. In fact, their membership to Congress should be voted upon to "expel (ban)" them from Congress for their traitor actions to Democracy...a country I risked my life for many years in the military. Anyone that believes in Democracy and the U.S. Constitution would be outraged at what happen today just as they would have been about the summer riots. Mike Pence called up the National Guard which is odd considering that's a duty of the President. Also, Congress apparently requested National Guard or more police "yesterday" because they were warned about today. Yet, today, barely a skeleton police protection force. There will be a few investigations about what happen today and how easily protestors were easily able to storm Capitol Hill, allow people to enter congressional chambers and some police treating protestors like they were friends. Oddly, shit didn't hit the fan until Pence and McConnell spoke up about the crap involving other members not identifying Biden as winning the election and the conspiracy theories. A mob showed up today in a very sacred place. There should be extreme consequences and those that invited them and then encourage them to march on into Capitol Hill. Similar thing happen in Michigan when armed protestors stormed Michigan's capital and then several months later...other protestors started making plans to kidnap the governor and kill year until they were caught / arrested prior to it happening. Congress is full of security cameras...all over inside...if people aren't identified and arrested later... Today would then be seen as more of an organized coup without arms but a way to test the system like they did in Michigan prior to something more insidious. They shouldn't even be compared, George Floyd actually happened. Did the protestors go too far, yes they did, but it was about an actual event that actually happened. This is just a conspiracy theory that has been completely debunked and laughed out of court by Trump judges. Bill Barr couldn't find anything, and you know he wanted to. If you gave a polygraph to every senator who objects, there is no way they could pass, they know the election was fair and free yet they are fanning flames that has already and likely will cost more lives. Absolutely shameful.
When we see the Supreme Court with 3 appointed Trump justices, William Barr DOJ, Federal state court cases with many appointed Trump judges, Georgia Republican election folks, now Vice President Pence and Mitch McConnell... Say there's no widespread fraud and now some of them have now pinpointed the lost elections to Trump constant rhetoric of fraud conspiracy theories has not only scared away many of their voters...it has shattered the GOP. It's simple, anyone that understands politics will know that a split party is a weak party that will lose key elections. Today's election results in Georgia was very understandable and a wake up call to the GOP to no longer cater to crazy people like Donald Trump or support his crazy conspiracy theories. Today is a wake up call about the bullshit and those that spread the misinformation / disinformation online...intentionally.
