Hey, as I said earlier, I am totally not pinging on you and I really wanted to make that as clear as I could without sounding like a jerk. @Buy1Sell2 has a thread all about golf here, and you'll see, I said the same thing to him lol. And he's one stubborn character to say the least. Read it. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/golf.311871/ It is a great great game. Take care not to injure your back, swing half as fast, and you'll go twice as far. Good luck, and again I wasn't trying to be demeaning. Just talking from a million hours on the links from a very young age.
Think I have a magic pencil when it comes to trading.... you should have seen my 4 wood. Wicked and deadly accurate. Edit: And my putter. I post a picture of it as I still have it, somewhere in B1's thread.
Age could be a big factor. I went recently to a driving range with my son who is 20 and he can hit 250 carry easily, though not always straight, using the the same driver as me. We older folks should probably concentrate on hitting the ball straight and on putting and chip shots.
I was always told that golf was the one sport that improved with your age. Staying loose, not relying on muscle to drive the ball, letting the club do the work. May be just wishful thinking though.haha
Hmmmm. Naaaa.... Weeeell, maybe there's a window .... like from 18-22 ... to the other side being north of say 32.... to about 48ish...... then yabz is 1000% right... hit it straight and learn how to putt. But even at that... it is NEVER about the distance as an amateur imo; and of course a lot of bloviating amateur experts will chime in.... but just like anything else... pretty sure I'm right. Especially about golf.
