I think I may have spoke too soon on Copart. When I said it should have got a bump from the hurricane and all the floods up north.... I gave the Wall Street Ivy League boys too much credit. They were just a little slow to figure that out. These analysts are clueless. I made a call and got the word first hand... if the water gets up to the motor... be it freshwater or saltwater.... it's a complete total. Copart, as I said before, is a tech company with real-estate. The best of BOTH worlds. Look at their gross margins. Tech. They make a percentage off of every car they broker. Hurricanes and floods totaling out $50K+ vehicles..... it all drops to their bottom line. Granted these things are one off events, but they do seem to just keep coming. Global warming? Who knows... but Copart's incremental cost of processing a $1700 beater for Geico is the exact same as processing an $80,0000 Mercedes. Difference is, about $14,000 in pure revenue.
