    Earnings Growth Projections & Surprises
Analysts expect KBR’s earnings to grow at a 22% rate in 2021. Comparatively, Fluor’s earnings are expected to grow 129.7% over the same time frame. Hence, Fluor’s higher growth rate implies greater potential for capital appreciation.

Hence, Fluor is a clear winner in terms of earnings growth expectation.

    Valuation
The industry is clearly undervalued than the S&P 500, with respect to forward 12-month price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio. This implies that the industry has upside potential for the near future. The industry has an average forward 12-month P/E ratio — which is the best multiple for valuing Engineering - R&D Services stocks — of 21.2, which is below the S&P 500’s average of 22.1. Hence, it might be a good idea to focus on stocks belonging to this particular industry.

Coming to the two stocks under consideration, KBR and Fluor — with a 12-month forward P/E ratio of 17.1 and 18, respectively — are undervalued than the S&P 500 and the industry.

Remember what I said earlier about nuclear power?
Japan is building small modular nuclear plants.
    We'll be needing those too.
And you know they must be safe, I'm sure Japan is pretty tight on that now after Fukishima.
    Fluor leading the way.

Fluor Announces $20 Million IHI Corporation Investment in NuScale Power

May 26, 2021 02:17 PM Eastern Daylight Time

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that IHI Corporation (IHI) of Japan is investing $20 million into NuScale Power LLC, a leading small modular nuclear reactor (SMR) technology company in which Fluor is the majority investor. IHI’s immediate investment of $20 million may be followed by another $20 million later. In addition to IHI’s ownership interest, IHI will become a global manufacturing partner and have the opportunity to provide design services and heavy manufacturing of the steel plate reinforced concrete wall structures for NuScale SMR projects in which Fluor has the lead role.

“IHI’s decision to invest in NuScale’s leading-edge SMR technology is another concrete example of the growing interest in this industry-leading, carbon-free energy solution,” said David Constable, chief executive officer, Fluor Corporation. “This significant investment by IHI also aligns with Fluor’s strategy to bring aboard new strategic investors to NuScale.”

The investment from IHI comes on the heels of a previously announced investment in NuScale and new strategic partnership by JGC Holdings Corporation with Fluor, further demonstrating the global support of NuScale. Fluor and NuScale are currently working for Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) to bring the world’s first carbon-free SMR project to commercialization.

Fluor has been serving the nuclear industry for more than 70 years including the design and construction support for more than 25 nuclear plants, plus nearly 100 million hours of nuclear operations and maintenance work.

They have quite a few patents.

I like their latest, a window that blocks rf, so I guess you can build a SCIF now that has windows.

The company that SPAC'd them Stoney... CF Acquisition Corp... that's the same operation that SPAC'd Sattelogic, CFV, the one we talked about last week.

VIEW might not be too bad.
    I've been digging.
    It's probably safe at $7.
I still haven't looked at their competition though.
Their patents all say that the existing stuff is notoriously problematic.

Interesting eh! Maybe ole' CF knows what he is doing. I don't see these huge NYC buildings doing this if it wasn't a good product.
