Do you not use the stoch for exit? anyway, I've given up on using Jack Heysey's method after I found out a better and more objective way to trade from my own academic research although I take into account his concept for trading something like the existence of dominant trend and non-dominant trend. He was true about the existence of dominant trend and non-dominant trend. I do see the volume cycle pattern he described sometimes but not always (not in a consistent manner). I am not sure whether he intentionally did not disclose the market volatility measure, but to identify whether a trend is a dominant or non-dominant, you have to use a volatility measure (i.e. volatility between short, intermediate and long term). I know he used stoch and MACD for it that but neither was a reliable method for identifying a dominant trend in a consistent manner.
It was mentioned billions of times in different ET nook and corners. It calls the ''Volume Pace''.There are snippets for that in the 'Hershey soft' thread.
I know that, but the volume is more on the market liquidity side than the market volatility side. To traders who have never actually done a proper academic research thesis, they may sound the same thing but they're actually two different things that drives a market.
Then your the one who should probably study a bit more. The volume pace is in the direcy correspondence to the price volatility.Has nothing to do with liquidity.

Two years from Jack Hershey's passing away. Neither ET, nor the world are the same without him. May he rest in peace ...
RIP Jack Hershey 81 Died on 11/3/2014 I have received a confirmation from Liz that Mr Jack Hershey, 81 years of young age, passed away on 3 Nov 2014 at Tucson, Arizona. I will remember him as a successful elder trader who had a beautiful heart and was humble, selfless and supportive to the beginner or seasoned traders. I wish that all of his writings about his trading methodologies for nearly six decades could continue to pass forward as his gift to those who are interested. Rest in peace, Jack.
