The Bands ---------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-7 (#68) Band Aids I am going to post the EE's in the bands. I posted a list of the upper and lower limits of each band. Now that you are doing the volume test procedure to annotate and log volume elements, their rays have a specific purpose. the purpose is to establish bands in volume. All of this is "contextual". context in trading is a very superior tool. Most experts of any strategy or plan use context to kep out of trouble. What is trouble? As in Center City, trouble is always a concern. Often it is said that the market has something that is preventing high performance. Well as in Center City, it is the eye of the beholder that is not cool. Many mediocre traders see that a given thing occurs and it provides different results. They do not hve any context in which to judge and they keep trying harder to avoid learning about context. If you do not understand context you are screwed as a trader. We in this work use shells of context. We use an onion approach. In the attached from doaks, you see the first bands come and go. P1 and T1 define A band top and bottom repsctively. P2 could be in or out of A band. A geomtric trend is established by P2. B band comes into effect with the advent of T2P. See crosshatched zone. C band is between T2P and T2F. it is shaded in blue. we do not use D and E but they are inside of the Blue. F band is both above and below the shown bands. Four mini zones apply. Once you understand the concept of zones and begin to use them, then they show "context". Ba and Bc --------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-7 (#70) You have a sheet for all the b through K bands. Here is a run down on these 12 EE's found in various non A bands. I will do A band last. Ba and Bc Ba is common and Bc is not seen. Ba is found when P1<P2 Or int UL AND the volume is between P2 and T2P. If P2<P1, the Bc volume is between P2 and P1. C band pass -------------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-8 (#71) The volume value is between T2P and T2F on the next par after the T2P. F Bands --------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-8 (#72) F type EE's Fa, Fb, Fc and Fd Bands A, B and C occur, then aan extreme bar appears. It can be very high of very low. Lets go from least to most in value. Before in the A band an Ab could appear when the bar value was afte P2 and lower than T1. Later after thyee t2P and T2F have apperaed the F context comes into view. Fd is a value lower than T1. Fc is a value lower than T2F. HVBO's can appear as well. If P2> P1, then a volume value just less than P1 is an Fa. If P1> P2, then Fb is a value just greater than P2. G Bands ------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-8 (#73) G the G band occurs on n+1 tests of the c band. The volume value is less than the T2F and greater than T1. the name PeF is assigned to the bar and this assignment means the trend did not end by having a thrid peak in the OOE os peaks. H Bands -------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-8 (#74) Ha Hb H band occurs after the primary band (A band) And the Scondary band (C Band) have occurred and AFTER n+1 testing has occurred in any band where n+1 testing is done (C and K bands) Ha covers HVBO, above the A and C zones and higher than P2 if P2> P1. Hb is the LVBO below both the A and C bands. Both occur rarely and are there as part of later trending completeness. J Bands ------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-8 (#78) Ja Each day the margin requirement shifts from RTH margin to overnight margin. At this time margin requirements double for reasons of uncertainty. Bar 78 is when this occurs. There is a rule for bar 78: Advance one peak." In a trend there are three peaks: P1, P2 and the EE represents a P3. In annotating barvolume 78, a review of prior peaks occurs. Whenp1 then P2 have occurred, then bar78 volume is designated P3P or named Ja as the EE. NB: If a P1 is prior, then bar 78 is P2 and it is possible there is no T1. the first P1 value is then designated the simulated T1 value for testing purposes. K Bands ------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-9 (#81) Secondary trend triples The ka and KbEE's In volume testing it is possible to have sequences of T2P's and T2F's be qalternating solutions. A test procedure has to be applied without nuances or anomalies. Neither of these facets can be part of a system of operation of markets. Most CW OODA based orientations omit this constraint and allow incompleteness. All quant activity does this incompleteness violation. Two sequences emerge: T2P to T2F to T2P OR T2F to T2P to T2F. The n+1 rule is involked and the C band pass is tested. A band pass on the former triple is Ka. A band Pass on the later is Kb. A failure is either a peak or a P3F depending upon the nature of the secondary BO. If an extreme LVBO occurs you use an EE already described. If an extreme HVBO peak occurs another EE is used. Band Review ----------- https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/market-system-of-operation.280654/page-9 (#84) band review I still have to post the EE's that occur in the A band. Thus there are still 8 bottles of beer on the wall. we have completed 27 so far. By using price for permission we get to measure 7 cases for volume. These independent variable elements build trends as the middle of trending. EE's end the trends by analyzing zones of volume values. All possible elments are distributed across the zones. EE's designate turns in price which end and begin dominant or non-dominanant legs in price trend fractals. turns serve two purposes: to take profits and to begin new holds for future profit taking. Thus the trading strategy the market dictates is a hold reversal strategy. A table was created to define the price turn types. (Se Modrian Table). The table contains only C turns which are Dom to Dom turns. There are two other types of turns: a turns (Dom to non-dom) and b turns (Nondom to Dom) See the Pattern to find the location of such types of turns. the deductive proccess underlying this tooling setup is complex by CW and OODA standards. By Scientific Method standards it is a simple process.

I believe this is an abstract visual description of the volume classifications. I don't think it is of much use for coding. Folks, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the detailed volume descriptions that I posted are the crux of this whole framework.
From what I read its looks easy on the first glance: - Bands it's just new fancy name for Dominant(A) None Dominant(B) Traverses of Channel. - P1 is the first bar of Dominant Traverses determined by first Rising Volume / End Effect marked on Volume pane. Lets discuss some things before we do something. I think we have to look on this from the different angle. More practical one. "I wasn't interested in doubling my money, but in his saying that Burlington was going up. If it was, my note-book ought to show it. I looked. Sure enough, Burlington, according to my figuring, was acting as it usually did before it went up. I had never bought or sold anything in my life, and I never gambled with the other boys. But all I could see was that this was a grand chance to test the accuracy of my work, of my hobby. It struck me at once that if my dope didn't work in practice there was nothing in the theory of it to interest anybody. So I gave him all I had, and with our pooled resources he went to one of the nearby bucket shops and bought some Burlington. Two days later we cashed in. I made a profit of $3.12." 1. Even if we replicate JHM 2.0 chart ideally it's does not help in determining how to trade the market. It may help to see market structure better. It's not enough to know - The Time When to enter the trade and in the What Direction. 2. To do it, we need to know that previous trend/channel/traverse/tape/band [Spydertrader called them container] came to The End. 3. So wee need EEs - End Effects. 4. Where we can get the list of EEs? 5. I think EEs are critical part for all of this. 6. Without implementing EEs with 90% accuracy I don't really see the practical part. 7. Without practical application it's pointless exercise. We need EEs to enter trades on The Right Side. "It takes a man a long time to learn all the lessons of all his mistakes. They say there are two sides to everything. But there is only one side to the stock market; and it is not the bull side or the bear side, but the right side. It took me longer to get that general principle fixed firmly in my mind than it did most of the more technical phases of the game of stock speculation." BTW, I suspect I know why Jack started this 2.0 thing. People challenge him that Volume is useless and Gaussians hard to see/draw and started arguing with him up to the point that tomorrow the Sun will not rise on the East. He come up with new idea how to explain P/V Relationship to the folks and make it more mechanical, less subjective thing. Which is lead to more confusion/complexity, IMHO.
I`d agree.Although i think automating the volume cases midfrequency(which is all the JH SCT is about)makes no sense.I tried to automate the volume cases, and the results were slightly below par.The reason i think is the Volume - 1 case, which you`ll never know what it be like. Automating the channels and it`s byproduct called fractal seems more logical to me.And i basically did that.I`d probably post the results.A little cavit, the data sample would be small enough,as i by accident deleted 5 year ES replay sample and have no interest to renew my subscription to the NT replay data provider.
Hmmm, for some reason I was under the impression that this was a reference to the Modrian chart. I just took a quick look at the 'Exact Science' thread and I did not see any explicit explanation of the EEs. Perhaps united1, llIHeroic and/or tiddlywinks will chime in.
Well, how can this framework be automated without the volume cases? After all, they are the centerpiece, no?
Like i said, it`s hard to code the volume-1 case. The difficulty is just due to the volume cases` propensity to change more frequently. If you trade the cases manually, bar-by-bar, yes, they are very important. But in the automation i found them completely redundant.
all EEs with Jack's comments are attached EEs is an easy part... understanding (not blind using/coding) but understanding Modrian table logic is hard part - it's exactly on Stepan's demand 'The Time When to enter the trade and in the What Direction.'
