Over time you’ll understand what i do is anything but luck . My entry wasn’t luck . I’m 100% confident the trade would Have worked out probably even better . That said a drop on Friday after the close is luck . It rarely happens and of course I’ll take the bacon when it occurs that fast . There’s a component of luck in trading to be on the right side at that right moment . Only one thing all of us control . OUR LOSES . If you don’t eat ,sleep and live that one thing you control then you’ll be carried out in a stretcher broke. I learned a very valuable lesson that inflected a lot of pain on my in 1990. I was massive short heading into the 1991 gulf war. I was at blockbuster renting a tape the Night of Jan 16th( I think that was around day it started ). I remember they had the radio on the speaker and they announced the star of war. I ran home knowing we’d crash and I’d make a boatload of money. I was all stocks then. I stayed up all night painfully watching the mkt reverse from being down 4-5% to the morning it gapped up big . I didn’t take the Lee as i just knew it’s fall back . I was wrong and i lost like $300k overall . That lesson and pain has stuck with me for 35 yrs and I’ve never repeated it .
