@destriero, we see (desperate) people here on ET looking for funding and mentorship. What choice do they have? These firms offer a service with rules of the game fully disclosed. To me, having an option always better. Otherwise people end up finding real scammers and get taken for a lot more.

  3. If you are a consistently disciplined risk management trader with a statistically viable trading edge then all you have to do is push another button (in addition to your main trading account) and make thousands extra every month for the cost of a few hundred bucks and a few seconds pushing the buy/sell button their trading platform.

Not a bad deal --- if you are good enough to pass their evaluation.

But let's be honest, most traders are not able to --

A trader who passes and consistently takes profit withdrawals from these Pay2Play firms WILL be able to make money afterwards for a long career

HOWEVER, IMHO 95% of the traders on elitetrader.com (who have never completed an evaluation at these P2P firms) will not be able to pass

Once you can squat 12 plates, squatting 4 plates is NOTHING!

  5. When I was young, the most I squatted was 12 plates -- ONCE

It was way too scary and on average I would squat 8 plates -- much, much more safer feeling since I never asked people to spot me

Now with older age, I just run...lol

I very likely wouldn't pass the evaluation but you'd shit yourself if you saw my growth in net liq from 1993 to present. What is the failure criteria of funded traders? Why don't they even talk about that? They don't and you would not trust the info if it were offered.

I busted my ankle and tore my achilles at 24. I envy a good squat!

  8. I tore my left front labrum doing BJJ on a roll. Did PT for 6 months. Doc said I could never have another traumatic hit to my shoulders again, so I took up Muay Thai with Coban (one of the greatest Muay Thai GOATs) for a few years --- my pad holders always told me that I would kill someone if I ever hit them (squats gave me some seriously fast and HEAVY kicks + my body punches are fucking killers)

Getting bored of doing 12 mile runs everyday --- gotta get back into the fight gym!!!!
