I'd like to thank GWB for giving me this idea. A stroll down yesteryear of all the hyperbole and ridiculous statements posted on this very thread about how last summer was going to end all life in Florida as we knew it, and how - at the end of the day - it was all wrong, overblown, overhyped and hysteria. Just like I said back then. Why is this important? Because this time is different, right? Posted by Covertibility on June 25/26: From GWB on June 26: Florida adds another 8,942 new COVID-19 cases, breaking single-day record again Friday's report of nearly 9,000 new cases caps weeks of record-high jumps with 8,942 being the highest ever. https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/h...une26/67-8de17be9-e4ef-4ef4-9dbe-fb7f434fe538 Oh noes! This chart looks a little stale now that a whole bunch of other states also had jumps, some much larger, only a few months later. Why? DeSantis of course! El Ocho told me this when I mentioned 28 states had a higher death rate per 1M pop than Florida last summer: Today FL has a better rate than 25 states. So in his defense, it did get a tad worse GWB on june 27: I love the article shrieking words like "shattering" in there. Of course months later, some states shattered Florida's numbers, but whocouldanode?? Can we get an update to the above? More coming...
Sweeps the sunbelt! Please note this article was from 7/9/2020 but the hysteria could be repeated today. Is, actually repeated today. LOL, not anymore! Not anymore! Not...anymore! GOP won FL. So nope.
This thread is PURE GOLD. From Covertibility: Trump won by..what was it? 3? Followed by GWB right away:
Remember this oldie? How many times was the "Corpse Truck" article put out there? Though we only heard about it in Florida and Texas. Never anywhere else.
