You repeat the same propogandist phrases in the most disrespectful way.

    You need a psychotherapist.

This entire thread cites examples. Go back and educate yourself.

Do you support the demeaning and abuse of children in the classroom on the basis of race?

Well, I do not. It is fundamentally wrong.

  5. Did Monello divide visitors up?

    No they did not.

Another lie shot down by truth.

Posting a few examples of teachers who went too far and were reprimanded means shit.

Monticello is in Virginia.... show me a public school district or state wide curriculum (not a teacher) that has a lesson plan to divide kids into slaves and slave owners....

    we will wait....

I am demonstrating the difference between what is done with CRT lesson plans in K-12 classrooms --- and what is done in Monticello tours.

Let's ask again - Do you support the demeaning and abuse of children in the classroom on the basis of race?

  7. You are demonstrating how someone falls for the GOP lie since there is no one who has produced a state curriculum or lesson plan that specifically outlines what your fantasy claims.

Nice deflection GWB but we are not falling for this line if bullshit anymore...

Do you support people lying about issues to simply get elected?

There are many examples of CRT based lesson plans which have been taught in K-12 classrooms. Multiple examples are cited in this thread. There are also many CRT based lesson plans found on websites where teachers can download lesson plans from -- a good number of these are not appropriate for the classroom and effectively divide the students on the basis of race.

As noted -- at this point CRT is a dead issue for Democrats. Their former defense of claiming CRT does not exist in the classroom was a hard fail plus their push to rename CRT to equity & other names to foist the same lesson plans under a different umbrella on children was another hard fail. At this point a large majority of parents are not putting up with CRT based lesson plans being used to educate their children. Democratic politicians (except for extreme progressives) don't even mention CRT anymore and have placed the entire issue in the rear view mirror. By not addressing it properly Democrats have lost badly on the CRT issue -- I even provided talking points they should have used earlier in this thread. Instead during the first half of 2022, the issue has turned into a train wreck for Democrats --- one they are unwilling to touch before the 2022 election.

  9. Anytime slavery is mentioned, GOP screams CRT..... look at what the fuckheads in FOX said about Monticello teaching about slavery is woke. The presence of slaves and their role in the plantation has been a part of the history and story of Monticello and Mount Vernon for years and years.

Youngkin scared Virginia voters on CRT... guess what Virginia Dept of Education came out and said:

Finally, because the Department has received many related inquiries, Critical Race Theory (CRT) is not included in the Virginia Standards of Learning, which comprise the content in each subject area that the commonwealth's school divisions are required to cover in their local curricula. Nowhere in the standards is there a requirement for schools to teach critical race theory, or to incorporate critical race theory when presenting required content."

Virginia Beach Public Schools for example was asked and put this on their website:

Q: Are you teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) in any of your professional development or curriculum?
    A:
No. The American Bar Association emphasizes that CRT is not "a diversity and inclusion 'training' but a practice of interrogating race and racism in society that emerged in the legal academy and spread to other fields of scholarship." CRT is not part of the work at VBCPS.

VDOE’s Standards of Learning include subjects like math, English, science, and history. VDOE’s media director Charles Pyle confirmed there is no mention of critical race theory.

In our fact-check of Youngkin’s claim, we noted that a growing number of districts have announced that they don’t teach the theory, including Virginia Beach, Colonial Heights and Hanover County.

You need to separate out learning standards - -which is a high level curriculum of what is taught versus lesson plans used by a school which is how it is taught. CRT-based lesson plans are problematic and what parents are objecting to.

Of course, all of this has been used as a campaign issue by the GOP -- which worked to also include diversity and inclusion as part of "CRT" (note that diversity and inclusion in education is very different than CRT and equity). On top of this the GOP added labeling everything possible as "woke". The GOP worked to use "CRT" as an election issue (very successfully) -- however CRT-based education is an issue that should have been narrowly defined (i.e. demeaning/belittling children in classroom on the basis of race) and handled at the local level.
