Some of the stuff he says Biden should do is nutty.Women don't want to go to a militarily base to have an abortion
Would they rather have the kid if that's their only other option? They've got healthcare services in bases, it's not out in some cammo'd tent. They have to perform abortions on female troops. I've been to bases w/complete suburban neighborhoods for the servicemen families, schools, hospitals, grocery stores, etc...
Crazy idea imo.Ive been to two military bases when I was younger and it felt like a different world, their own little communities .I think women would be very uncomfortable going to military bases to get abortions and military families wouldn't want the national media attention and probable circus it would become.
Is it any crazier than rolling back abortion though? Crazy times require crazy solutions. scrapping the filibuster, packing the court, statehoods for DC and PR, all these sounded "crazy" 2 yrs ago but look at us now, suddenly it's not so "crazy" anymore.
Please GWB, tell us how Joe has to appeal to the righties by being right of center: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/11/us/politics/biden-approval-polling-2024.html Most Democrats Don’t Want Biden in 2024, New Poll Shows With the country gripped by a pervasive sense of pessimism, the president is hemorrhaging support. Only 13 percent of American voters said the nation was on the right track — the lowest point in Times polling since the depths of the financial crisis more than a decade ago. Among fellow Democrats his approval rating stands at 70 percent, a relatively low figure for a president, especially heading into the 2022 midterms when Mr. Biden needs to rally Democrats to the polls to maintain control of Congress. Republican opposition is predictably overwhelming, but more than two-thirds of independents also now disapprove of the president’s performance, and nearly half disapprove strongly. In a sign of deep vulnerability and of unease among what is supposed to be his political base, only 26 percent of Democratic voters said the party should renominate him in 2024. In the survey, 94 percent of Democrats under the age of 30said they would prefer a different presidential nominee. Mr. Biden’s base, in 2020 and now, remains Black voters. They delivered the president a 62 percent job-approval rating — higher marks than any other race or ethnicity, age group or education level.
I have outlined multiple times Biden's low polling numbers are directly related to his lengthy string of failures. There were certainly better Democratic candidates than Biden for 2020 available; he merely won because Trump was such a horrible president. If there was a better mainstream candidate than Biden for 2024 which was not a progressive (and not Kamala) then I would support the ticket most likely (over Trump or DeSantis). However it is unlikely that an meaningful Democrat would take on a sitting President in the Democratic primary. Unless Biden has medical issues which makes it so he does not run, or announces he will only serve one term then it is likely he will be the Democratic candidate for President in 2024. Biden has a less than stellar record as President. It is not surprising that many rank & file Democrats would prefer that someone else at the top of the Democratic ticket for 2024. I have previous posts that list out Biden's failures including an entire thread on his epic failures. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/bidens-epic-failures.364162/#post-5522884 And posts listing out his failures: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...-an-utter-disaster.364325/page-3#post-5526577 https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/biden-speech.365396/page-5#post-5554204
Of course Republicans want someone other than Trump to run as well... Nearly half of Republican primary voters prefer someone other than Donald Trump for president in 2024, a Times/Siena College poll shows. Far from consolidating his support, the former president appears weakened in his party, especially with younger and college-educated Republicans. Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida is the most popular alternative. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/12/us/politics/trump-approval-polling-2024.html Tuesday, July 12, 2022 8:46 AM ET
