Has Biden tried throwing rolls of paper towels at them yet? When the people of Asheville get pegged with a roll of Bounty flying 50 mph, then they’ll know Biden cares.

I mentioned Floods and Hurricanes as a consequence of not fighting Climate Change in my prior message post. Not mentioned, politicians get in the way of those hit hard by a natural disaster.

Full List of Republicans Who Voted Against FEMA Relief Before Helene Battered Their Home States

...Many of the lawmakers who voted against the provision of additional necessary funding to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) represent states that were hit particularly hard by Hurricane Helene.

    No Democratic lawmakers voted nay.

Read the full list of lawmakers who voted against the stopgap measure below.

    North Carolina:

Representative Dan Bishop, NC 8th District

    Senator Ted Budd

    South Carolina:

Representative Jeff Duncan, SC 3rd District

Representative Russell Fry, SC 7th District

Representative Nancy Mace, SC 1st District

Representative Ralph Norman, SC 5th District

Representative William R. Timmons IV, SC 4th District

    Senator Tim Scott

    Georgia:

Representative Richard McCormick, GA 6th District

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, GA 14th District

Representative Mike Collins, GA 10th District

Representative Andrew S. Clyde, GA 9th District

    Florida:

Representative Daniel Webster, FL 11th District

Representative Michael Waltz, FL 6th District

Representative Bill Posey, FL 8th District

Representative Cory Mills, FL 7th District

Representative Anna Paulina Luna, FL 13th District

Representative Laurel M. Lee, FL 15th District

Representative Matt Gaetz, FL 11th District

Representative Bryon Donalds, FL 1st District

Representative Kat Cammack, FL 3rd District

Representative Gus M. Bilirakis, FL 12th District

Representative Aaron Bean, FL 4th District

Senator Rick Scott refused to vote

    Tennessee:

Representative Tim Burchett, TN 2nd District

Representative Andrew Ogles, TN 5th District

Representative John W. Rose, TN 6th District

    Senator Marsha Blackburn

    Senator Bill Hagerty

Reading the above list of politicians getting in the way of FEMA trying to do their job to help Americans hurting after a natural disaster, they are shocked that there are a lot fewer dollars for FEMA's disaster relief fund and other federal disaster programs. :(

...The funding omission was made all the more striking by the fact that lawmakers were leaving Washington two days ahead of schedule, in part because of the hurricane...

Further, many on the above list of politicians who didn't want to help FEMA do their job, these politicians have been outspoken against Climate Change or aligned themselves with the anti-climate views of former President Trump.

Hopefully, we do not get any more natural disasters for the next 6 months because if we do...those Americans are fucked.

I know you probably aren't smart enough for this level of thinking, but voting against the stopgap because the government keeps kicking the can and not passing a budget isn't the same thing as voting against disaster relief, simply because they put it all into the same pork filled bill.

Disingenuous folks like yourself love to do this. "He voted against this" without actually considering that there's another reason to vote against massive, all encompassing spending bills.

We also have Mark Robinson in North Carolina who refused to show up and vote in support of the state's emergency declaration. Voters in our state should remember this when they vote in November in the gubernatorial race.

Even former Republican Governor Pat McCrory called out Robinson for failing to show up and support the emergency declaration -- stating “It’s inexcusable in a time of crisis".

I will note the North Carolina Council of State includes other Republicans -- all who voted in support of the state's emergency declaration.

NC Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson didn't vote on state's Helene emergency declaration, records show
North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who has called on Gov. Roy Cooper to deploy more resources to help people in western North Carolina, was the only Council of State member to not vote on Cooper's request to declare a state of emergency, records show.

What inane nonsense -- which has nothing to do with disaster relief and recovery.

  10. The lack of power transformers she discussed would have to do with the disaster relief and recovery. That's actually pretty sad they were sent to Ukraine.
