If the guy didn't have an idea how much he made, 7 million or 10 millions, you know how true the statement would be, that is the point I tried to make. NO idea about the HSBC logo though. Never mind.
Basic strategy? Nobody not even the world's most successful trader will reveal his/her strategy. And why are you asking a newbie like me? There are people who have been posting on this forum for years or even a decade let them provide their account statements. I doubt any of them are making more than $200k a year. But I would love to be proved wrong.
I admit I am a newbie also! So we are kindred spirits! But you never posted YOUR personal statements to show how much real money you made, I don't think. Or did I miss that post?
I got it out of rin4et. Here's the personal message he/she sent me in response to my query about lies... "To be specific you lied that you are a young man in your 20s when I found proof in another thread that you are not. I can dig up the thread. You are a liar! Now get lost!" I feel bad for this person, because without wisdom and life experience, the person will never understand why it is important to never put your real information online. It is as if nobody thinks identity theft is a real thing. Better to be prudent rather than ignorant or unknowledgeable about the risks associated with real-life info online. I learned this in the late 1980s. Better late than never for the folk?
I can't imagine anyone who is truly killing it in the market would explicitly reveal his/her strategy. The only thing available out there is guppy knowledge. 200k a year is not that much. A million a year divided by 252 trading days a year averages to about $4k/day: If your account is $4K...you will need a 100% return everyday. If your account is $8K...you will need to average 50% everyday. If your account is $12K...you need to to average 33% everyday. If your account is $50K...you will need to average 8% everyday. If your account is $100K...you will need to average 4% everyday. If your account is $200K...you will need to average 2% everyday. -- and So on and so on. This is all just a loose framework chart. and it can deviate greatly, and all of this is excluding a little known concept of compounding. If you compound, the results can be exponentially explosive. You get out of the market what you put in. If you are skilled and have an appetite for risks...you can make a killing. It's like Vegas, but designed with slightly better odds -- and you can't get kicked out of the casino for making money.
Very tacky of you to PM a person and then post their response publicly. Although from a person of your type I am not surprised. I am not talking about protecting your identity here, I am talking about falsely representing yourself as a young person when you clearly mentioned that your testosterone levels are declining in another thread. That is what I call a liar. Now please stop responding to this thread and leave me alone stop PMing me! https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...raders-that-trade-stocks.313208/#post-4516400
They have been declining for over 20 years. It is why I started going bald in my 20s. But I am still "young". Learn a bit more about the world, and the people that make up the world, before you make assumptions. This might also teach you a little lesson about the world of "the online". Been doing it for a long time sir/ma'am. You have a lot to learn.
If it has been declining for 20 years you are definitely not a young person as you claim in this thread link below. That is why I called you a liar. Now stop PMing me and posting my response publicly. That is something only a low life would do. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...raders-that-trade-stocks.313208/#post-4516388
Oh, and "I ASSUME" you gave yourself away in this one here... https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...-that-trade-stocks.313208/page-2#post-4516790 Aww, you are lonely. I get that. No worries, you'll find what you are fishing for if you would just open up your heart, and be REAL.
I am still a young person. It is all perspective. K, sorry! I think we have squabbled enough. I am out of the thread, back to the discussion! Sorry all for the tangent! My bad.
