    Mr Artfldgr,

Time permitting, would you please run that same GC futures contract, but this time on a 30 minute per bar chart instead of daily bar?
    Another suggestion follows:

    Preliminary Prototype Runs:

When you move this thread, please let me know.

im moving my discussion from this thread to the new one now..
and yes, i will run those for you and post the response there

my reason is that at least your making it interesting and show i am not cherry picking
and you took the time to give me some interesting links!!!!!
that was very nice of you...

if you have ideas, complaints or such on it, let me know.
the point is that i am trying to see if this is worth persuing more
and the naysayers are no real help as they seem to confuse belief without backing with argument and reason... if someone says it isnt going to work, thats fine, but give reasons so i can learn and know why...

and if this helps you easymon1, you can clue me in a bit on your thinking

here is the link to the other thread

    Mr Artfldgr,

If you run the 30 minute GC there's no reason to post any results.
If you feel like posting a thumbs up or thumbs down, that's more than plenty for me.

Do Post here when you get your system up and running and sending you checks on a regular basis. If it works, - and that's what you care about, right? If it works, you'll have plenty of time to post, but ... it's a big fascinating world and you may find other pursuits of greater benefit. lol Think about it for a minute. ...Then get back to work. lol

    Now,
I'm curious whether the characteristics of the system carry through on a shorter timeframe. What effect the change has on rate of accumulation, etc. That's your business. Not mine, not the neighbor next door, not nobody.

The different chart types may have some interesting characteristics with parameter tweaks providing some tuning benefit over the course of development. Think prototype.
    Keep your own counsel.
    If it works, good.

If not; if in practice things are not what they seem, then all the 'splaining will have wasted time. If you post justifications here, then consider that some responses may seem like you're in a trash-talkin' locker room so be prepared. You will need to let it roll off your back like water off a duck's back. It is your time to prioritize as you see fit.

    Time's a wastin'.
    Cheers

    Mr Artfldgr,

    I don't understand your message.

The first batch of GC charts was enough for me.
If you want to keep posting results, that's cool, but Given the name of the thread: 'A Strategy That Is Secret', more results posting may be overly generous imho, and result in time-sink of justification of your system to nay-sayers. I am not a nay-sayer.

I Didn't intend to give the impression that I didn't Want to see the results, it was more that I didn't Need to see the results.

Any results you post, rest assured, I'll be checking them out.
    We got no problems here.

    Cheers

ok... thats good... i just thought you wanted the 30...
    sounded like you didnt..

trying to get the darn thing working in quant world..
but the problem there is that their software does the buying and selling and it does its own repositioning, with limited control... and such a thing as i am playing with here, needs to sit to gain the long run, not get re-jiggered..

    thanks!

There wasnt enough transactions with the 30...
its turning out to be a good tool at the machine, not a trading algorithm..
Though i have some more ideas (as we all do)

    thanks for the comment!

  10. How I trade?
For example, In an uptrend trend line, When the price breaks out the trend line, after 60 pips, I buy. I put 50 pips TP and put the SL, 40 pips in below of the 161.80% of the Fibonacci.
The SL is big but I have to put a big SL. And it profits about 95%.
If the price touched the 161.80% of the Fibonacci, I buy again. I put the TP on the first TP and put the SL, 40 pips in below of the 261.80% of the Fibonacci.
Sometimes 161.80% of the Fibonacci is near to the break point. In these cases, I consider the 261.80% instead of the 161.80%.
Work in the H4 time frame.
