Saw this a day ago but it is not so simple as taking zinc supplements as likely a special preparation would have to be given via IV? That said zinc has always been associated with helpful for colds and as a coldsores.
Exactly. How do you get Zinc inside the cell where it can block the virus’ ability to replicate? Chloroquine! Again technical but worth watching.
Yep, I was researching yesterday. The hospice doctor has some other ideas and will send me a mixed IV, a friend has just 30 pct lung capacity due to a form of pigeon fancier's lung (avian proteins) and will near certainly die from Corona, best case further lung damage. Her condition is treatable but.. Not if she dies first. I'm moving her to a country home for complete isolation.
I got influenza A and still worked out and did 30 mins on the C2 erg daily. I am not blowing myself... it's simply that ppl that are immunocompromised will die. Lungs fill with fluid -> perfusion is compromised -> secondary infections take hold. People taking zinc as some panacea don't understand virology & immunology. Yes, it can reduce the severity of the symptoms but does nothing until the body begins to produce antibodies. You're still infected. Tamiflu makes some sense and slows viral-reproduction in many cases. Zinc may help as well.
You don't need to preload zinc before you get the virus, but sure it doesn't hurt. But once you get it you can take : "Zinc has two standard dosages. The low dosage is 5-10mg, while the high dosage is 25-45mg. The low dose works well as a daily preventative, while the high dosage should be taken by anyone at risk for a zinc deficiency. Different forms of zinc contain different amounts of elemental zinc, which refers to the weight of the zinc molecule by itself (Note: Product labels tend to mark the elemental weight) Zinc citrate is approximately 34% zinc by weight. For a dose of 50mg elemental zinc, take 146 mg zinc citrate. Zinc sulfate is approximately 22% zinc by weight. For a dose of 50mg elemental zinc, take 220 mg zinc sulfate. Zinc gluconate is approximately 13% zinc by weight. For a dose of 50mg elemental zinc, take 385 mg zinc gluconate. Zinc monomethionine is approximately 21% zinc by weight. For a dose of 50mg elemental zinc, take 238 mg zinc monomethionine. Zinc should be supplemented daily." --------------------------- In the picture in post#5 the Zinc supplement is Gluconate so one pill only contains 6 mg elemental Zinc. In case of having the virus I could take 7-8 pills a day. Zinc lozenges are also sold, good for sore throat.
