Who wants to bet that his brother starts getting death threats now? Who wants to bet that MSNBC is going to hang this guy out to dry? Watch the media vilify this guy now that they see him as a threat being an intelligent and articulate guy.
I think the (wrong) Zimmermans should sue Spike Lee, I'm sure they endured some emotional distress over the ordeal.
Spike said it was an accident though he did it twice. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. Roseanne is just an ignorant cunt with no career trying to pretend she isn't the racist trailer trash that she is. Between the lying celebrities, the lying media and a pack of lying congressmen and congresswomen this is going to damage the civil rights cause for decades.
Accident or not he should keep his pie hole shut, The Zimmermans are completely innocent and were put in a potentially dangerous circumstance by Lee's careless actions...... there's grounds for a civil suit here, wait till an attorney gets a hold of it.
They already settled, i would be interested to know what its worth.... The elderly couple targeted by an erroneous Tweet from director Spike Lee lawyered up yesterday after they were forced to leave their home. Now, the director of "Do the Right Thing" has struck a deal with the Florida couple, according to The L.A. Times: Elaine and David McClain, in their 70s, left their Sanford, Fla., home after their address was tweeted by a man who thought he had found the home of George Zimmerman, the 28-year-old who shot Martin, 17. Lee then retweeted the McClainsâ address to his followers on Twitter.... The McClainsâ claim is fully resolved,â Matt Morgan, their attorney, said in an email. âMr. Lee personally called them to give a very heartfelt apology. Further, he agreed to compensate them for their loss and the disruption to their lives. âThe McClains were very moved by Mr. Lee's apology,â Morgan said. âThey would like the Lee family to be left in peace,â Morgan said. Don't credit the Mainstream Media for this turn of events. News outlets -- especially entertainment news outlets -- did their best to bury or ignore Lee's potentially disastrous retweet. New media outlets and Twitter users shined a light on Lee's bad behavior, forcing the AWOL media to grudgingly cover the story but only in a dutiful way. In the end, it was pressure from New Media that forced Lee's hand. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Hollywood/2012/03/29/spike-lee-pays-target-of-address-tweets
It doesnt matter if it was an accident, we have a legal system for a reason, Spike Lee was clearly trying to incite violence on Zimmerman. If we are going to organise crowds of people to lynch people we think are guilty, then we arent much different then the violent muslim extremists who start rioting in the streets, and murdering americans every time they feel they have been wronged.....
I hadn't heard that, thanks for posting........ Lee did the right thing owning up, but He and several others need to learn to shut up and let the events unfold. The real Zimmerman is going to end up with a manslaughter charge, it would have been that way regardless of the media circus that has taken place.
Just noticed it on breitbart after this thread started, so it must have just came out.... i wonder what the odds are that the media will cover it.....
It doesn't fit in with their talking points or agenda, they won't mention it...... you'll see it being scrolled across the screen once or twice and never hard of again. It will never make the air on any CBS or MSNBC blab hour. Fox will beat it to death.
I don't think he will. Presumably the SFD has their report regarding the medical treatment he received at the scene so that should document his injuries if any. There is the eyewitnesses. Their statements seem to align with Zimmerman's statement. There is the audio of Zimmerman (positive ID is necessary) screaming for help. There is the police report documenting the grass on Zimmerman's back and the blood from his alleged injuries. The "stand-your-ground" self-defense law in Florida is really the source of the problem. In most states this would have been 2cnd degree murder or manslaughter. The lynch mob behavior exhibited by various House and Senate members, the media, the Black Panthers and many celebrities may work in Zimmerman's favor. No, I don't think he will be charged *if* the DOJ is objective and that is a big if. We've seen Holder's DOJ exhibit grotesque racism repeatedly so we could see it here too.
