I'm thinking the prosecution knows their case is weak as hell, and so with this jury it will take the focus off of how weak it is and onto the color of the jury. Someplace for their constituency to rage against if it all goes sour for them.
They probably also figure that the jury will feel like they have to rule for the blacks since they're all white. Even the hispanic juror because after all, hispanic is white, too, in this case.
