Zimmerman/Hannity Interview

  1. Murder 2, never going to happen. The only question on the prosecution side is, will and obvioulsy bias judge push an obviously bias prosecuter to accept a plea to manslaughter after the stupid bitch went for M2 with no supporting evidence? The only question the defense has is, should they roll the dice on an aquittal, or take a plea to manslaughter?
    Aquittal = big riot.
    Manslaughter plea = small riot.
Murder 2 conviction = Reverse OJ ruling party riot

Actually, back in the day, I never believed OJ was guilty. Let my emotions get in the way of the facts. I watched almost every minute of that trial. I never wanted to believe the juice could be guilty. This is the problem when one let's their feelings over ride logic. Of course now I believe the guy was guilty as sin. It just got too hard to over come the facts. But boy did I try.

And yes I embarrassingly bought into the whole drug dealers in South America story. I really want the juice to find those guys. LOL.

  6. I remember the OJ case clearly also. I think it was the first big crime turned into a live TV drama. Like you I first thought he was innocent. But not for long, for me at least the evidence was overwhelming. I remember sitting at a customers house when the not guilty verdict came across. I was stunned. Do I think Zimmerman is guilty, probably yes. Is there enough evidence to convict of murder probably not, maybe manslaughter . And IMO the odds are good he will lose in civil court. He is not someone I would want to live by or be around.

  7. I saw part of the interview and couldn't bear to watch it. Zimmerman's lawyer was crazy to let him do it, and I fault Hannity for exploiting him. As the cops always say, "Anythng you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

Any inconsistency, no matter how minor, will be seized upon by these dirtbag prosecutors and emotional or racist jurors. Nothing against trendlover, who seems very genuine and compassionate, but would you want her on your jury? She can't get past the media template, "angry white man guns down innocent youth."

While I agree with Mav that the facts on the table so far fall far short of what should be needed to convict, don't underestimate the power of a severely biased judge. He can let in all kinds of legally irrelevant evidence and exclude stuff that should be in. He can warp the jury instructions. He can refuse to exclude obviously biased jurors.

The state of Florida has already indicated it is pulling out all the stops to get this guy. They even stooped to using his poor wife as leverage, so nothing is beneath them at this point.

Add in the fact that every race hustler in the country will be on hand for the trial. Jurors will have to go through a gauntlet of threats and abuse every day going to and from the courthouse. Hanging in the background will be the real threat of riots in this already bedraggled town.

The only relevant facts are whether or not Mrtin jumped Zimmerman and whether or not he was shot in a death struggle for the gun. Unfortunately, there will be a media/political circus going on and facts are likely to be the last thing on anyone's mind.

Florida is a crazy state. They let Casey Anthony walk. And 99% of America thought she was guilty as sin. Honestly, it all comes down to the jury. Which is very sad. A black jury will convict him, a white jury let him off. Florida is one big circus act.

George Zimmerman apparently called into "The View" to make nice with Barbara Walters on Thursday, one day after the famed TV journalist nixed a possible interview with him over his demands for a monthlong hotel stay.

Walters told the show's viewers Thursday that she flew to Florida on Wednesday to set up an on-air chat with Zimmerman, but walked away after the volunteer watchman showed up in a T-shirt and made some steep demands.

She didn't elaborate, but sources told The Miami Herald that Zimmerman wanted ABC to put him and his wife up in a hotel for a month.

Walters walked away, saying only, "It was a condition that, being a member of ABC News, I was unable to grant."

Describing her exchange, Walters said the "polite, soft-spoken" Zimmerman appeared "desperate for money" and "very worried about his family."

His lawyer "wanted him to do the interview," she said.

It would have aired after Zimmerman's sitdown with Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity, his first since he shot Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26.

A Fox News spokesperson said Zimmerman didn't ask the network for anything and didn't receive anything in return for Wednesday night's interview.

Near the end of Thursday’s show, Walters told viewers that Zimmerman called "The View," but she refused to put him on the air.

"Mr. Zimmerman, if you could not do the interview yesterday, I don't think we should do a quick one today," Walters said.

"In the future if you feel differently, we will consider it," she snipped.

Zimmerman's call-in came hours after Martin's parents made the morning show rounds to slam his claim to Hannity that the deadly confrontation with the teen was "all God's plan."

"I don't understand what God he worships," Tracy Martin told “Fox and Friends.”
