That eyewitness is pretty weak based on her statement, "it was very dark, but I thought the larger man was on top". Very dark, I thought, larger man...all can be taken apart by a good denfense attorney. Forensic evidence will tell the tale. It will let us know what Martins position was in relation to Zimmerman. Gun shot residue, blood splatter, angle of entry wound, all will give a clear picture of positioning. All I'm pointing out is the attempt to portray Martin as some little kid. He wasn't! Does this make him guilty? Absolutely not, but it makes one wonder why people are trying so hard with the Martin little, Zimmerman big argument. It really isn't relevant at all. Martin wasn't beaten to death, he was shot.
In my opinion, all this is a distraction from the real issues - economy, elections, etc. I could give a shit whether T or Z or A to the E is guilty or responsible. Let the courts sort it out. The more attention taken off Obama, the better (for Obama).
True, it's hardly open and shut. But she said the deeper voice was doing most of the talking and shouting, and the person on top got up after the shot. On its own, this eyewitness account is hardly enough. But we'll just have to see if and how it meshes with the other evidence in the fullness of time.
Obama is going to encourage his minions to foment racial tension(at least in the media) it's his source of greatest political capital.
I didn't vote because I don't know. This should be left to the jury. I do have some sympathy, however, with anybody who is tried and convicted by the press before he ever has his day in court.
That's good to hear because, if you remember the early days of this matter, the court almost wasn't going to have its day either.
My thoughts as well. I have generally taken Zimmerman's side here, but mainly to point out the many logical and factual flaws in the arguments of the lynch mob. People with CCW permits or others who carry should note carefully what has happened here. I support CCW. Hell, I support open carry, but you have to be aware that there are a lot of over-zealous anti-Second Amendment prosecutors who think any civilian gun case should be prosecuted. That is the whole reason behind the stand your ground laws, ie to prevent these fanatics from ruining the lives of people who acted legally to defend themselves.
This case isn't about over zealous anti gun nuts or about over zealous pro gun nuts. This is about one over zealous individual, Zimmerman.
