Hello.I am new and somebody told me about the zigzag indicator for detecting trends . I found some code (written by a greek author I think) but I do not have experience with the code used(Tradestation). I was wondering if someone can point me to the original articlle or the code written in matlab,Java or C++. Thank you
Newbs beware the zigzag... it looks great until you use it in real time and find out that it shifts back and forth according to the price action... Watch it a little first....
Thank you for the messages.I found a matlab code thanks to 3dog link.I am gonna watch it for a while ,especially in currencies. It is the only trend indicator I know for now. Thank you again
lol...yeah I once thought I found the holy grail.....but it is useful to note the length of each zag in the zig...
Here is a Real Time....Zig Zag....in TradeStation. I call it....VST_Predict Reversal. Still a work in progress....but it does work very well. Scalping chart to the Right = 20 tick....ER. Trending chart to the Left = 610 tick....ER. VSTscalper
