end of an era
And yet, somehow, Computer Shopper still apparently exists... a magazine that by ANY sane and objective standard was rendered utterly moot and irrelevant by the Internet at least a decade ago. ;-)
And another one gone. I don't like what I'm seeing. Print media is dying and I don't like it. We've become information snackers now, content to get little bits of info with wikipedia and google. I'm not pointing fingers, because I'm guilty of it too. However, I've been an avid reader my whole life and I feel like a part of my world is dying away. Of course it isn't really dying, it's just changing form. I just don't want to change with it.
wow thats too bad
I remember reading it back in the mid 90's
back then the PC was much less of a commodity. and since they cost a lot more people cared more about the specs and comparison shopping. Now they're so cheap you can go to bestbuy and get a decent computer for 500 regarldess of the brand. There is no need for PC magazine anymore.
