Zero commissions- how has your trading changed?

  1. Sorry buddy, but I'm very happy with IB. My comment was about the "trend" set up to put as many people in the market as possible. You guys may be a very good brokerage firm but I would not trade IB for anybody else at the moment.

It has never been a better time to trade options.

This was one of the greatest psychological plays I've seen a long time. Nothing gets the poor guy spending $400 on lottery tickets to gamble from his phone like thinking he's getting something for free.

Speaking of which, when will they offer zero commission for options and futures?

Given all the higher quality of services offered at major brokers who are now charging no commissions (charting, research, lower margin, shorting, etc.), I can't see why anyone would use Robinhood and their stripped down platform.

The overhead in my trading business has definitely improved and I can now scalp smaller profits that were never before possible.

  7. Again, thank you EU bureaucrats from shielding your citizens from the evil PFOF and hence effectively blocking zero commission trading and competition among brokers.

  8. I have learned that apparently MiFID ii also applies to Monaco. What a shame.

Hopefully, when Brexit is over and done with, Schwab will offer zero commission in the EU without PFOF also to new clients because the Schwab business model is less dependent on commission than other brokers.

Existing Schwab clients in Europe enjoy zero commission combined with - I assume - no PFOF:

"Nearly all of the brokers the FCA has visited have now stopped charging PFOF..."
