Why are you giving others trading advise. A quote from one of your posts "I don't consider myself a trader".
Meditation is fine and a wonderful thing in and of itself, it's a great stress reliever but it won't magically transform you from a losing trader into a winning one. Trading myths are not too hard to identify.
Perhaps some (definitely not all) readers of this thread may find this You Tube video interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEIXijQctlQ The lecturer in the video is James H. Austin, an American neurologist and author. He is the author of the book Zen and the Brain, which aims to establish links between the neurological workings of the human brain and the practice of meditation, which won the Scientific and Medical Network Book Prize for 1998. He is giving this presentation to Google employees in 2010. Happy trails to you....
============= Great question, tough question. Also as far as ''Zen And the Art of Archery;;'' Archery championships are won with lots of practice/work /tek equipment /sights much more than any art. Fred Bear [Bear Archery, great Co/equipment]was an instinctive shooter , great arrow shooter/hunter; exception to the rule.
wife+kids excuse is a sign of weakness. "one of these days"shows lack of resolve." "jump ship" that is quite a stretch, in language, for giving your wife a break for 10days. she never will admit it but she'll love it.
Meditation makes my mind clear, there are no outside matters in it. But I'm only beginner in this practice. Any way, I think that after meditation you can concentrate on anything you need.
a very interesting book: The Hour Between Dog and Wolf: Risk Taking, Gut Feelings and the Biology of Boom and Bust by John Coates he talks about the/a connection between Mind & Body once in a while you read something that makes you think a little differently marc
