On your list I see DAX initial margin ⬠13950. This is ridiculous! From Thursday, 02/10/2011 to today (Monday, 02/21/2011) DAX moved at max 160 points (from 7280 to 7440) which equals 160x25=4000 â¬. There was even a major trending day in this range (Friday, 02/11/2011). As we all know volatility has decreased recently noticeably. So the (initial) margin is in absolutely no relation to realistic, expectable moves.
This is as usual when dealing with CQG; they simply use the Performance Bond Requirements by CME; don't know the ratio for Eurex.
Initial Margin is set by the exchange and is processed nightly using pure SPAN margining. But you are correct...⬠13950 is a little high...I just checked the Eurex margin sheet and it has been lowered to ...⬠13180 AMP website will be adjusted.
Again.... There are only four symbols enabled real time in the demo ES - 6E - GC - CL All European markets are unavailable I don't think this is a great launch to introduce NT/CQG
Communication from AMP to existing Zen-fire customers WHY they should switch to CQG has been utter crapola. Suddenly they just sent instructions on HOW to do it, nothing about WHY or WHAT cqg is. Nothing about what are the benefits, cost savings or absolutely any info.
Amp finally found out that zen fire is a marketing name. Took amp more than 5 years to figure that out
