How the hell is that "appropriate"? It's not even analogous! So a Jew who favors a strong defense of Israel is more of a sellout than the OTHER Jews who voted for the war and now flip flop like a bunch of lying bitches? Regardless if one agrees with Lieberman or not at least he sticks to his principles.
I honestly think McCain's best shot is to pick Lieberman as his VP. McCain has managed to infuriate the conservative base since he clinched the nomination by pandering to the illegal alien pressure groups, so his only real chance is to peel off enough moderate democrats, independents and jews to cut into Obama's base in battelground states. It's also the right thing to do. They love each other, and neither has the backbone to attack Obama or any other democrat. It would just be wrong for McCain to drag a promising republican like Romney down with him.
