Today I insisted on trading the noise and being stopped out in gold while silver was the one to short. -1.36% Don't trade when there is no trade (low volume chop).
I had low conviction on these trades. I really need to learn to sit on my ass and relax until something happens.
5m, 15m, 30m... That is not a market to trade (for me at least) : Interestingly, I managed to catch the green range expansion bar (shorts being squeezed out of a false breakout on a 5m time frame). Then I got hammered in the noise, playing for a real break to the downside.
1790-1796 1 candle up 1 down, 12 points. With 1 minute TF I believe some money can be made. But I guess it's a question of style..
Money can always be made, I guess, but I try not to compete with algos on low time frames. I am not quick enough for that.
That I never understood... What the problem with Algo? Who care who send the order. If you or someone from ET can explain to me what so intimidating about orders from Algo I will appreciate it very much.
Algos have a huge edge when it comes to speed. Speed is crucial when trading these low time frames. Humans are slow. I tried it. Doesn't work for me. What I enjoy most is to stay in a trade for a swing on a 15m time frame with a close stop.
I don't have 6 figure account... 15 minutes even 5, Is to much. High leverage market, small account, big expectations, I must act close to price and orders...
