  1. There are many, many people, Christian and non, who believe in demons and other spiritual beings. So by attacking me you’re attacking all the educated people out there who know they have excellent evidence they have contacted a spiritual being. I’m sorry, but I simply cannot imagine anyone so smugly making an assertion about which they clearly have almost no knowledge.

    Let me give an example. One evening I was giving a message in a small inner city church and when I came to the altar call – and I know you know what that means – a man fell out of his seat foaming and writhing on the floor. It completely shocked the crap out of me. I have shared this story before and I ask you the same question: what am I supposed to think? Isn’t it just oddly coincidental that the guy fell to the ground foaming and writhing just like is described in the New Testament? And isn’t it odd that it occurred right at the altar call?

    Let me give another example. I knew a coworker, who was stable and a good worker and the “salt of the earth” type of person. The only problem she had was that she married a guy who was very messed up and into a lot of nasty stuff. She got the idea to pray for him one night when he returned home and she said he flew across the room and hit the floor the same way. This gal did not exaggerate or lie and was as honest as any person that I have known. She was also five foot two with heels on, so I know she couldn’t have shoved the guy against the wall or anything like that.

    I could list other examples from my own life and a number of my friends have had similar experiences. And if we asked some of the New Agers, they could tell us their own stories of contacting other beings during astral travel, etc. (if we could get them to talk). I know of one teen, for example, who saw a ghost in her living room clearly one evening. And no,she wasn’t smoking peyote.

    And so I ask you: what are we supposed to think? It’s easy for you to glibly say that we are hallucinating or imaging things.

    But then you weren’t there, were you? So how do you know that maybe, just maybe your materialistic worldview is completely wrong??

    Jesse Ventura says,

    "Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers. It tells people to go out and stick their noses in other people's business."

  3. sorry sho its all nonsesnse in your head. who knows what goes through the minds of people who believe in demons. they cant be too stable or they wouldnt believe in the first place. i will give you credit for not just making it all up and just say you and your friends have a vivid imagination.
    on the off chance that any of it is true you could make a million dollars. randi is offering 1 million dollars for evidence of any kind of a supernatural event. why not collect? http://www.randi.org/jr/021805a.html

    there is some very good information on that randi site. maybe you should read it. it might clear up a few things. when you understand how scams are pulled of it becomes easier to dismiss wild claims.

  4. The Randi Contest is the most ridiculous contest I have ever heard of. It only is valid toward non-spirt-related phenomenon. Its only purpose is to comfort people with a materialistic background that there is nothing outside of themselves and that the intelligence in the universe begins and ends with them.

    I seriously cannot imagine anything more ludicrous. It is only good for investigating phenomenon like telekinesis, ESP and the like. It has absolutely NO value to investigate anything done by spiriutal beings, be they God or demons or whatever. You cannot tell a spiritual being how or when to act. You cannot tell a spiritual being what to do. You cannot tell them where to do it.

    I just don’t know what could be more obvious than that.

    Seriously, do you think some spirit cares about a million dollar contest? That is simply the most unscientific thing I have ever heard of.

    If you want to investigate this scientifically, you must use the same criterion you would in a court of law. You have to investigate the witnesses and stories and make your evaluation. There is no silly contest-related shortcut.

  6. I resent that remark. The day that man fell to the floor I was not thinking of that in any way nor had I been. It took me completely off guard. And in the great majority of my friends’ cases, it is identical. These things happen spontaneously when you least expect them. The occult experiences I had - same thing. It would be the same with the New Agers. And even the legitimate UFO events – same thing.

    Just because you have not had a spirit-related experience does not mean every one else hallucinates. That is a pompous assertion!

    The truth is that you do not know if there are spirits or not. But you are pretending you have proof and are an expert…

    the truth IS.. YOU don't know... yet you act and suggest there is...

    YOU are the problem!

    YOU are the IRRATIONAL one!

    not those of us who disblieve because of a lack of substantive PROOF.

    i am sick of you holy rollers who shove their schizophrenia on rest of us then act like we are ones who are unfortunate cause we don't join YOU in your insanity!..

    get freakin REAL dud! :mad:

    ps get on your knees and pay homage to THIN AIR

  8. thats nonsense. if you want to investigate something scientifically you do not interview witnesses. what you do is devise a test to prove your theory that is observable and repeatable.
    you seem to have bought your superstition hook line and sinker. i personally couldnt imagine going through life believing there is some dark place out there where demos exist but more power to ya.

    Good points shoe shine, & Jessee Ventura 's wife is saved,
    by Jesus Christ , a jewish Rabbi/LORD.

    Also spiritual things like the old testiment Scriptures, demons...prayer;
    are somewhat like Technical analysis ,
    dont make much sense until you study them seriously/prayerfully.

    Letter to hebrews says'' discern by reason of use'';
    neither TA nor spiritual things are discerned with arrogance or shallow study.

    You discern by reason of use, not shallow reading/arrogance;
    and those that dont discern are telling us more than they realize, simply because no use =no discernment:cool:

    >Actually, what I said is that it doesn't matter
    >if the mainstream evangelicals are right.
    >That's the point you're missing.

    I'm not missing your point at all -- you are making a simple and understandable point ... yet it is a point that doesn't address your dilemma.

    You stated
    >...{snip}if there is a God that has any kind of higher
    >intelligence, then it is unlikely he would make
    >basic Truth so confusing or hidden that it could
    >not be discovered

    It *matters not* who is right ... "mainstream evangelicals" or the Branch Davidians -- THEY CAN'T AGREE ON BASIC TRUTH.

    Let's suppose that the "mainstream evangelicals" *are* right. Well, the basic truth is so confusing and hidden that the Catholics say they are wrong. Thus your statement supports my beliefs rather than yours.
