The State AG actions are also trying to block federal employees and federal contractors from having a vaccine mandate. This is actually where they can state they are filing suits over an Executive Order. However their suits are also attempting to block vaccine mandates for employers of over 100 people who are not federal contractors -- which is the portion being put in place by OSHA.

So your alternative is to have the disease spread widely -- causing many deaths -- leading to more large-scale lockdowns. A problem that is cured by a low-cost vaccination when used widely in a population. Certainly government workers interacting with the public should be required to be vaccinated -- does the government want to pay large sums of money to people their unvaccinated workers infect. Do you want the government to be the next entity on the losing side of lawsuit settlements for their workers infecting people (following the cable companies)? There have been some lawsuits against employers when employees become infected but its a tough battle uphill due to businesses having the Covid-19 Liability Shields that protect them from workers' lawsuits. Just as tough of an uphill battle for those suing their employer or suing the government for vaccine mandates during a Pandemic. The latter above, if it wasn't a Pandemic...they would have a better chance of winning their lawsuit. In fact, someone once asked me when the Pandemic will be over? I would say when the government removes the vaccine mandates after having a fly on the wall of the WHO that are preparing to declare the Pandemic is no longer a Pandemic. North America Covid numbers are improving fast but only thanks to Vaccines and Vaccine Mandates. First of all, the below chart by Google Statistical Data is not what public health agencies use to monitor infections, hospitalizations, or deaths. It's an incomplete picture of what's happening with Covid in New York or any other state in the United States. Instead, public health agencies use charts and statistical data like the below to get a more accurate visualization of what has been occurring in each state and each county of each state... They can even zone in further to see each area within a state for nursing homes, prisons, colleges, food processing plants, and any other outbreak area of Covid or any other diseases. Yet, the epidemiology data is a lot more sophisticated than the below data because it gets more into the (scientific, systematic, and data-driven) of the distribution (frequency, pattern) and determinants (causes, risk factors) involving Covid or any other disease. Just like trading, how you view your charts, data will impact your perspective and decision-making involving your trades. New York is doing better but just like the rest of the country...this is not a time to become complacent like we did in 2020 when we re-open out of a lockdown nor is it a time to let Covid have a chance to kick our asses again.
