I sold my urban digs for some secluded lakefront property in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma years ago and started taking life at a much slower pace. I don’t go to the movies anymore , if there’s something I want to see I’ll wait for it to be released digital or dvd. I quit going to sporting events longgggg time ago, kids finished school, college venues/tailgating Sooner games no longer appeal to me. Plus too far to travel. I don’t go to bars, no need - very seldom restaurants, again too far to travel, plus the better-half is a fantastic cook, when Im not grilling or something in the smoker. Worst case scenario, I can fish, hunt, live off the land/home garden with a never ending access to water. I’ve owned my own business 30+ years, probably retire here in a couple more. Covid’s proposed social restrictions mean absolutely ZERO to me, other that it’s sad to watch this country turn into an socialist, nanny-state, shit-hole. Social distancing is my preferred normal everyday life.
