Money talks! Price charts! Most accurate news source on earth. I’ve got a screen set up with the following price charts: - Gold spot - Silver spot - $SPY (sometimes sector etfs too) - EUR/USD - USD/JPY - Oil futures - CPI - Maybe a foreign index if I’m curious (FTSE, DAX, etc) - On another screen I watch the fixed income markets: yield curve, bond scanner. - Then I pull up other charts I’m interested in. I might pull up an options table to look at the greeks on something that caught my eye. - I also have a scanner running to pull out big movers. I wrote an algo that makes an audible “ding!” if a specified market condition occurs. Best news stream anyone could ask for.
Let me try Benzinga. Copper futures moved massively (3% down) since 6 hours ago. But there is no delayed copper-related news in Benzinga. Thumbs down for Benzinga. Of course, CNBC ... is also lousy. Most likely Copper went down because Asian index futures (Hangseng, Taiwan) were down due to the expected poor US stock earnings results.
Most trading platforms and some charting vendors have real-time news for their clients that are built into their software. Yet, if you're talking about something to put on your TV...get an extra TV/Monitor and put your news window on the TV/Monitor from your trading platform. wrbtrader
