Several things are not mentioned in the article. 1. Do you have a family history of blood clots? 2. Overweight? Smoke? Never exercise? 3. Poor eating habits? High cholesterol? If you are generally a healthy human being, it is not a big risk IMHO.......

yeah it's worth keeping tabs on, pulmonary embolism, lookup in google, read the stuff at http://www.emedicine.com http://www.emedicine.com/aaem/topic371.htm apparently it's a big killer and nobody talks about it much.. there's some kind of test, V/Q scan, which helps tests for it, at least in lungs -- anyone had that done? helpful? one thing I had done last year, which is great, is going to one of those commercial MRI type scanning places, had a virtual colonography and a complete heart checkup, to check for calcium score and for a echocardiogram.. it was very helpful .. so far so good... at 39, I want to start keeping tabs on the body, make sure all's well, check it every couple three years... (now I've gotta get back on that treadmill) .. ken
