Hey what the hell might as well dream big! 30-50 mil a year would definantly tide me over for a while lol!

Private equity as in stocks? I got my start trading stocks but aside from researching some companies for a few friends I know little or nothing about that biz anymore.

I actually live in Iowa so I have never had the opportunity to work on the floor but would give my left nut to do so! However I have little or no connections on the floors of Chicago and I don't even know where I would start looking for traders that would even be remotely interested in backing me to be honest.

I appreciate you guys giving your opinion on the subject.

    Good Trading

  4. Sorry, but you're better than a majority of the so called "pros" on this site and need to be aware of that. Keep your head though.
And yes, I'm doing well. I have a farmer from Australia here trading with me for a few months.

  5. Well after almost a month going by since posting on this journal I can barely take it any longer :D My intra day trading in the european markets is going good (however not great) I still feel the need to place a good old position trade every once in a while so I figure why not post what im doing on this journal.

My main market now intra day is euroswiss and it moves slow enough that I could easily post my trades and what im doing but to be honest it really isn't that big of a market (run by about 3 big locals) and I get a little paranoid about posting on a big forum like this that is viewed by thousands when poor old euroswiss trades only a few thousand contracts a day.

Anyway I have been long ES since 1330.25 and my profit target was reached at 1380. So a very good trade there. ES is really getting some legs and if we can break through 1400 next stop is 1520!!!

    Well off to school

    Good Trading Guys

  6. Going into the week ahead I like a few things.

I like the short side of gold. With the stock market gaining strength and with any dollar support gold could really take a dive and fast. I like getting short below friday's low (june contract). This should confirm that we can no longer support higher prices.

I also think treasuries could take a dump this week but am not sure enough to place any money on that kind of bet.

Es challenged major resistance last week at around the 1400 mark (I believe it was like 1398 actually). I can't stress enough how pivotal this 1400 level is. If we don't break it we head back to the trendline around 1345-1350. However I think if we head back down there we will not be supported at that level and will instead break through that level (longs should have tons of stops under that trendline). So a break through that trendline sets us up for around 1260 or the lows. I favor the long side and will be looking to buy only on a break above 1400. Otherwise we could head supstantially lower and at that point I want to be short. As far as im concerned the stock market has achieved the lows and now its just a matter of time before we start the climb back up but in the mean time it could be a choppy ride.

June hogs look to make a pivotal move this week. A break above 76 and we run into 80 relatively fast. However if 76 can't be broken we look to test 70 again. Like always im playing hogs off of a purely technical standpoint.

As far as euroswiss goes I can't really tell you much there. I find when trading intra day its best to have absolutely no bias and just go in there and trade. I can say that the short side definantly made the money last week and I think that continues this week.

Good luck this week guys and I will keep everyone informed on what I do with those potential trades.

  7. Es is starting to back off a little. Its still possible that we could make a run to break the 1400 level but the odds of that happening fairly soon are dwindling fast. If we can start to trade lower tomorrow with any conviction I will look to possibly get short that market.

Im also thinking about a possible long in the 10yr note tomorrow too but who knows lol!

Hogs were down over a buck today and with roll coming up it should only add more pressure to june. I am seriously debating getting short june hogs tomorrow and will keep everyone informed on that. Packers running in the red could put some downward pressure on cash prices and spot june is already trading above the cme hog index.

Gold just chopped today inside of Friday's range. I only want to short gold if we can break below Friday's low.

    See what tomorrow brings

  8. I just randomly stumbled across this thread. I didnt read much but I must say I am impressed. You remind me a lot of myself where I was a couple years ago, except you actually have money to trade with and I didnt. Still dont but your young and motivated and thats keeping you a leg up on the rest. Keep up the good work.

  9. Great job. I dig seeing seeing you trade/follow so many markets. For a "youngtrader" you're pure old school.

Thanks for the support and encouragment. Intra day trading is all right and im doing it a lot better than in the past but to be honest my position trading is still by far my cash cow and probably always will be.

I guess intra day trading just gives me something to do while I let my position trades work themselves out.
