  1. Still long my 2 may corn at 530......not sure where to get out of these but I think I'm just gonna keep holding on to them.

Still long 5 may/july beans at -14.......not too worried about this play

Placed a trade that was recommended to me by Rtrader2525. It is bullspreading july/aug hogs. I did this at -1.00 and I am happy to say it is trading damn near even money as of the close today. Thanks man!!!

    So I did buy 1 july/aug hog spread @ -1.00

    Also sold 1 oct/feb hog spread @ -4.50

Also got long 2 ZB at 118.265

Profit target on this trade is around 119.04

(for anybody out there looking for a quick $300 a contract overnight I would deffinantly recommend buying these bonds around that level)

Lots of things going on so I hope they all work out!

  4. Man I've been knockin 'em damn near break-even! hahaha

I'm up right now in the Euro, but I got slammed in the Yen and Pound, then the damn things reversed right after I closed out at a loss. hahaha

Hopefully the currencies will firm up a little, just tons of instability right now with this credit crap. Oh well, still up for the year, and I am trading small to make sure I keep as much of my early Jan profit as possible.

I am using this current market as more of an education tool than anything. Trading just large enough to keep my attention. Just too risky that some crazy shit will happen....I will let everyone else have fun in the currency market for now. My time will come a little later.

    Nice trade on ZB BTW.

  7. Out of my 2 may corn @ 560 for $3000 profit. (kinda wish I would of held on to em though)

may/july bean spreads closed at -16 no change here

    july/aug hogs closed at -.95

    oct/feb hogs closed at -5.15

Not a bad day overall. Didn't have any school today so obviously I spent my day trading. The amount of vol in these markets is just incredible and I will be honest with you guys I was trying to just stay alive today trading treasuries and the es. Es imo was practically giving away money while treasuries sucked a few hundred dollars away from me today.

Guess you just live and learn!

    Have a great weekend guys

  8. Nice work YT. In this kind of market, staying alive is being a winner. Living to fight another day will allow you to find those kill shots from time to time to make up for choppy days or small losses.

Keep it up. Have a good weekend.

  10. Hey everybody sorry for not posting on here lately, it has been extremely busy around my place.

I am sorry to say I will not be posting on my journal anymore. My intra day trading in schatz (both in trading size and profitability) has really taken off and I just don't have the time to research all the markets, make longer term trade decisions, and talk about them on the journal. The eurex FI markets require my full attention now.

I have learned a lot about myself and the markets since I started writing my journal. I feel like a veteran trader all ready although I know I'm not and I still have so much to learn. I hope to continue to learn and make myself better each and everyday I trade.

So whats next after this? Well I am graduating 1 semester early next year (my senior year) and I plan on working at a prop firm in Chicago. I am thinking of applying to GHCO, Geneva, Gelber Group, Transmarket Group, Iowa Grain, Jump Trading, and Boss Trading. If any of you guys know much about these firms I would be very anxious to hear your thoughts on them. Also if any of you have any connections at those firms or any others and could help me out in getting a job there I would greatly appreciate it. I will also be attending college in Chicago (I don't know where yet). All in all it should be a very interesting time in my life.

Total Profit on the journal is just kissing $48,000 (started with $10,000).

If anybody would like to take over this journal and continue posting their longer term commodity trades by all means go right ahead and keep this journal alive.

    Thanks for everything guys!
