You should export your vegetables all around the world after feeding your local population. And remember to invest in technology and robotics from the $$ that you've earned from selling the veges!!
you must be happy to have made out of China! From his view point, Xi Jinping would need to find ways to feed his 1.3 billion hungry children by crook or by hook: China has increased its military expenditure by over 800 percent since 1992. At around US$266 billion in 2017, The Chinese spent significantly more than the Russians (around US$64 billion). China has militarized the South China Sea China is developing naval base in Cambodia China is developing naval base in Sri Lanka China has established a base in Northern Africa (Djibouti) China started trouble in the China–India border in 2020 https://www.theguardian.com/environ...-plundered-waters-around-galapagos-data-shows (Peru) BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentina’s coast guard said it fired on a Chinese boat illegally fishing in its waters before embarking on an almost eight hour chase to capture it.
Yeah, and the stupid bastards leased the Port of Darwin Northern Territory to China for 99 years. Guess what, there's an Australian Navy base there and about 5 miles as the crow fly's is a military airforce base. They're not that clever here, that's why they align to USA, because USA can hold their hand and tell them how to hold a spoon. We know how to dig holes (for ourselves) though.
99 years??!!! Seriously??!!! Almost 100 years??!!! What was Australia thinking??!! In this rate, Australia is going to become a province of China soon. LOL You are all going to be Chinese. Congratulations!! There is no need for immigration policies. You guys just immigrated to China. LOL I hope Australia is at least charging a decent rent that it deserves for giving up the usage of part of its sovereign land?
Great post! So little I agree with, it makes it easy to challenge. America and Australia are not like other countries where population can trace their roots thousands of years back. On the contrary, they are lands of free and forced immigrants, where populations lived prior to their arrival, by the way. Each wave of immigrants faced rejection from the less recent arrivals. Irish, Poles, Italians, Jews, Chinese, Central Americans.. name it, they faced discrimination. But no one stopped them on the way in and questioned what value add they would bring to the country. What made a huge difference is the grit, the determination of every immigrant to do better than what they left back home. That was true in the 16th century, it is true today and will be true tomorrow. And it is true regardless of one's skin color or one's cultural background. And a white anglo saxon protestant has no more right to claim ownership of the land than any other immigrant who just happens to have arrived later. In simple terms, one doesn't get to walk in, claim the space and close the door behind them, especially when the land wasn't free for the taking in the first place. Americans and Australians became lazy with time, getting fat on abundance. America's high death rate isn't due to rapists and murderous Mexicans, it's meth killing poor whites in rural America and crack killing poor blacks in inner cities. The immigrants in the other hand, work their ass off to send money home and build homes and figure out how to stay safe in a country that is so foreign to what they know.
See this is the problem with immigration. Every time you talk about it, everybody gets excited about culture, history, nationalism, land, blah blah blah LOL and people forget it's about economics, same thing as globalization. The only difference is instead of getting cheap labour from abroad in globalization, this time you import cheap labour into the country through immigration. But just like globalization, if you can't sell the goods that's produced by the extra immigrants for more than what you spent on that extra immigrants then you are going to lose money. Buy High (cost of immigration) and Sell Low (due to unfair tariffs from trade agreements and not obeying China's wishes) = Loss. It might not be obvious today or tomorrow or three months from now but eventually it's going to catch up with you, sooner or later. Yeah sure for those who own properties in Australia, of course they want to keep the immigrants coming to maintain their property value but that's just selfish and even fraudulent if the immigration does not benefit Australia on the whole very much like a Ponzi scheme, robbing the future of Australia to pay the current generation.
You don't seem to understand how immigration works. White nationalists like to caricature immigrants as poor non whites coming in "your" white land to live off government hand outs, but the reality is that very few depend on government support and usually if they get help they quickly get off of support as soon as they have a job and place to live. But immigrants come from all walks of life, all countries. Many, if not a majority, of US PhD candidates are foreign born hoping to make a life in America. These are young people who went through their countries' education systems and brain drained to the great American story that got all of our ancestors leave their country for America. Who do you think created Apple and Google and Tesla and so many other great American global companies that employ hundreds of thousands of American workers??
EXACTLY what I have been saying. Immigration has nothing to do with race or ethnic backgrounds whatsoever. All it matters is economic factors. You can let in all the immigrants all from whatever is what you feel as the "inferior" race or ethnic background, as long as their contribution to Australia's GDP is higher than the cost paid for them, Australia will be fine, i.e. Google and Tesla owners (although they are all white if you want to emphasize race. LOL) Whereas if you let in all of the white immigrants, if their contribution to Australia's GDP is less than the cost paid for them, then it's no good. And Australia has the right to shut its doors against those immigrants who do not contribute to Australia's GDP more than its cost. That's Australia's sovereign right. Glad you finally understood what I wrote and agree with me. Good luck to Australia in getting its next robotic technology geniuses!!
One area Oz excels in is autonomous mining, I believe we are world leaders in this realm. Driverless trains, dump trucks, road haulers, drillers, blasting. Creating & digging bigger holes. If we keep digging we will soon arrive in China.
